Back once again with the ill behaviour, Lord Leopard, the ‘chosen one’, who opened up Edible’s campaign back in 2015, returns to the fold for the label’s quarter century release mark (that’s our 25th release if you’re confused).  Eats Everything’s power-house of house has racked up bombs from Waze & Odyssey, Seb Zito, Alex Virgo, Ben Sterling and Méle, to name but a few, and strides into 2020 with more underground goodies for your lug holes and tootsies.

Futuristic disco pumpers can be heard on the ‘Disco Rage’ EP, as the mighty Lord Leopard literally swings from the mirror-ball with his kecks down; ‘Malibu Stacey’ comes correct with a heady brew of funk laden basslines, orchestral stabs, ascending strings, and hammering beats, whilst ‘Drang’ slaps you around the chops with tuff drums and sweaty basement sounds for some real deal, crunchy French licked house.

Lord Leopard has been busy of late, with releases and remixes for Street Tracks, Classic Music Company, Music For Freaks and Cajual, as well as smashing it at multiple Edible and elrow events.

We’re bringing together two legendary artists this month on Danny Howard’s Nothing Else Matters imprint, in the form of House heavyweight; Harry Romero and New York’s finest; Joeski with their debut single for the label; ‘Sex Poem’. Collectively, they boast careers spanning more than three decades in the industry with reputable releases on some of the biggest labels in the scene including Toolroom, Defected, Hot Creations, Snatch!, Subliminal and DIRTYBIRD. ‘Sex Poem’ is a dancefloor focused roller, building through intricate percussive rhythms, laid back House drums with hip swinging claps and serene chords underpinned by mesmerizing hypnotic vocals and an infectious bassline. This is definitely one you’ll be hearing on the dancefloor!

Harry Romero & Joeski - Sex Poem

Both artists of this EP has released previously on the label in some compilations but the quality of their music deserves a single release and now is the time of it. The Italian Agar and the Argentinian Jay de Lys have worked together to deliver two huge tracks, 'Bling Bling' and 'Hit In'.

'Bling Bling' has some elements which make the track something cool, up-to-date and perfect to show how underground house music is in 2020: the trap vocal sample, the synth lead and the drums programming shows what need/want the dancefloor at this moment. 'Hit In' is a great tool to make people dance too and complete the EP in the proper way.

The second Toolroom Trax release of 2020 comes from an exciting collaboration between three renowned artists. Siege, Raumaksutik and Gene Farris have teamed up with 'Circles' - just one of the many fresh projects to land this year on Toolroom's underground sub-label.

Siege and Raumakustik each bring drive, energy and momentum to their productions and DJ sets – they are no strangers to the big room, late-night Trax sound. Fresh from his collaboration with House vocalist legend Chuck Roberts, this is a fine return to the label from Siege. The Dresden based duo Raukaustik are known for combining underground Tech House with Techno, which creates their very individual sound.
