Earlier this spring, Qdup released the funky dance-floor Hip-Hop Breaks anthem “Get Up featuring Jerome Joyce”, and now the tune has been remixed by both All Good Funk Alliance and Friskie Business. Qdup goes way back with AGFA, having collaborated on songs, remixes and many shows together over the years. Friskie Business is another talented producer that came out of the Washington, DC area rave scene and has now relocated to Los Angeles, CA. 

All Good Funk Alliance is no stranger to Fort Knox Recordings, having released their full-length “Jacks of All Trades” album, singles and multiple remixes with the label. They’ve also consistently released tunes with many well-respected Funky Breaks, House and Hip Hop imprints including their own Super Hi-Fi Recordings over the years. Their DC roots shine through with swung out Go-go style percussion and driving beats while a smooth bass line, hi-fi keyboard and lush pads set the mood for the dance floor.

Travis Payne aka Friskie Business has been pushing funky dance floor sounds for almost two decades. He’s part of the Burning Man camp Charlie Unicorns Crew along side west coast party rockers DJ Dan & Diva Danielle. They’re known for throwing all out dance parties on their unicorn art car. Friskie flips up the beat to a stomping 4/4 flavored glitch-hop tune. A menacing bass line and siren synth stabs set the tone and compliment Jerome Joyce’s party raps which is sure to get booty stomping results every time!

Los Angeles based producer Nick Alvarado and vocalist EVeryman have teamed to form Little Giants, who aim to make proper hip-hop music for your mind, body and soul. Pairing inspired, thought-provoking lyrics set over crisp, funky beats, the sounds of Little Giants harken back to the golden era of hip-hop. This release commemorates the memory of Nick 'Pumpkin' Alvarado, who touched thousands of people with his signature music productions and acclaimed DJ sets at top music festivals and clubs across the US and abroad. He tragically passed away on March 25th 2016, but his generous spirit and magical music will continue to live on. 

To honor his memory, Nick's best friend and Little Giants production partner, Evan 'Everyman' Shafran, started The Little Giant Acorn Foundation for The Arts, a non-profit organization that helps children get started in music or the performing arts who otherwise could not afford to do so. Nick absolutely loved to share his passion for music and performance art with the next generation and nothing gave him more joy. 

By purchasing this LITTLE GIANTS album you are helping to ensure that Nick's spirit continues to shine while ensuring that the next generations of 'little acorns' have the means to pursue their creative passions. It was always a dream of Nick's to have a record label of his own and to help the youth. It serves as a symbol to our community that Nick 'Pumpkin' Alvarado will never be forgotten and to always let your light shine bright.

Reggae will always be a pillar of the Lance Herbstrong sound.  Some of our first remixes were based off old reggae classics, and each of our 3 albums contain at least one Reggae track.  

Ever since we headlined the Austin Reggae Festival in 2013, we’ve wanted to fuse all of our reggae inspired remixes together into one continuous play.  Our goal is to pay homage and respect to these originals, while modernizing the sound for the future generation.  And so the day is finally here for us to share the Lance Herbstrong Reggae vibration all in one seamless mix!   Playing these songs live is always a highlight in the set for us.

Also included in this special mix is our most recent recent collaboration with Big Daddy Kane on the song ‘Ripped,’ and previously unreleased mahsup of Slightly Stoopid’s smash hit ‘2 AM,’ with Mano Negra/Manu Chao's classic ‘Long Long Nite.’  The 2 AM remix has never been released and only performed live a few times.
