Kela has released music on Delta9 Recordings, and now brings his beats to Lifestyle, with some razor sharp neurofunk spread over four tracks. Opener Raprezent is an involving, rushing affair, full of skittering beats and an MC command to, well, raprezent. The tune opens up and out into something greater than the sum of its parts, marking out Kela’s physical and mental territory. It opens the journey of the EP perfectly, setting the way for the music to come.
The title track is darker, more brooding, with a start-stop intro which leads into some earth-shattering beats. The way Kela layers the drums on this one is a work of art, truly displaying his skills and technique. A name to watch for the future, who is making music right now.

The incredible detail is something to behold, as Kela goes right into the mix. He’s put his heart and soul into the entirety of the EP, which he presents to the listeners, who have in their hands one of the releases of the year.
Closer Mojave will send shivers up and down spines across the nation. A nervy, chilling epic of a tune, the atmosphere on this one will hook you into its power in no time. The beats are on point, the bass heavy whilst still moving. A fantastic end to a major, major EP.
