NewDay ft. Lowdef

Jack hill comes from a place where rugged drums and jagged piano lines trace the narrative of homegrown hip-hop tracks. His early tracks provide a rustic backdrop for chicagoland rhymesayers, matching the soul of the flow instrumentally.

Years later, his palette has expanded into a range of shapes and colors. Often rooted in hip-hip (but not always), his  interest in experimental landscapes has contorted his vision into something personal and unquestionably resonant. His tunes are both direct and embossed in chaos, demented and inviting simultaneously.

His music doesnt fit squarely into any genre, as the influences are widely varied. His architectural approach is the element that casts his work in such a unique light. His tracks intrigue the ear to the point that begs the question: will the music itself come undone, or will the listener?
