Been hitting the 80s pretty hard lately and decided to dust off a bunch of fun remixes and include some of the bmore stuff that's been rocking my face off recently. Also decided to work in some of the artists currently strip mining the 80s for top 40 hits (although, it's hard to blame them, there were some damn fine melodies and some very necessary sounds). I'm just afraid that with Daft Punk doing Tron and Trent Reznor scoring too, we'll see the Black Eyed Peas handed the keys to score some new He-Man movie and Lil Jon doing the title track for the Smurf's film. Yes, that is Vangelis' Blade Runner score on both ends. Can you identify the rest? Also got a few 70s tunes thrown in for good measure. The only song that probably should have been included was Nylez bmore work-up of Marvin Gaye but I play that one enough out anyway so I let it rest.

So Here's the 80s - but with bigger beats, dutch house arp lines, and the dubstep it could only have dreamed about.

I was lucky enough to be schooled by a community of DJs from various styles. My ballroom dance friend taught me that you can change the dance without changing the tempo. My rock friends taught me genres are usually drum beats. The DnB guys taught me how to hold on to the mix at breakneck speeds. The Breaks guys taught me how to follow the bounce. The Psytrance guys showed me how to let the music take me where it wanted to.  The House guys showed me what a smooth transition should feel like and the Hip Hop guys taught me to never buy a mixer off a hip hop DJ.
