Angel Alanis & Maria Goetz featuring D.Vices - Shock EP [SubSensory Recordings //SSR115]

Hailing from the old Chicago / Midwestern electronic scene, Angel Alanis started DJ’ing at the age of 14 and released his first record in 1996. In the years since, he’s released on labels ranging from Tresor and Tronic to recent material on Chicago Jaxxx and Resource Records.

Maria Goetz is an American techno producer, DJ, and rabbit fanatic with a growing catalog of releases both solo and in collaboration with husband and partner in crime Angel Alanis. A neuroscience nurse practitioner by day and techno lover by night, Maria is not afraid to get weird.

“Shock” finds the duo exploring the intersections of electro and techno. The title track brings together elements of classic Detroit electro with the jackin’ attitude of Chicago house and techno, resulting in a fresh sound that we absolutely love. For the b-side, Angel and Maria team up with D.Vices to deliver a growly electro tune titled “The Best Way.”

Welcome Home beim SUBGROUND TALK, unserem Podcast für die elektronische Musikszene!

Für das Jahresende haben wir etwas ganz besonderes für euch produziert. Der SUBGROUND TALK war am ersten Novemberwochenende auf der MUNA in Bad Klosterlausnitz, dem ehrenamtlich geführten Subkultur Club, denn die MUNA Familie hat ihr 30 jähriges Jubiläum gefeiert. Bei der zweitägigen Jubiläums Party durften wir vor Ort den MUNA Spirit live erleben und haben Dutzende Personen interviewen können, die die Geschichte der MUNA für uns erzählt haben. Festgehalten als Zeitkapsel in dieser kleinen zehnteiligen Special Podcast Staffel. Es war unfassbar bereichernd zu erleben, wie so viele Menschen aus unterschiedlichen Generation für die selbe Sache brennen und gemeinsam, selbstlos dafür ihre Schaffenskraft aufwenden.
 
Ein großer Dank gilt dem gesamten Team von der MUNA für die herzliche Einladung, die liebevolle Fürsorge vor Ort und die Offenheit beim Teilen der Geschichten. Dass die MUNA einen ganz besonderen Szene Spirit hat, wird euch beim Zuhören schnell auffallen. Es ist bemerkenswert, wie viele Personen über die Jahre unzählige Stunden Ihrer Freizeit in unterschiedlichsten Bereichen in diesen Ort investiert haben. Nie ging es dabei um Geld, sondern immer um die Sache. Einen Ort voll Freiheit, Kreativität und positiver Selbstverwirklichung der MUNA Familie, der sich regelmäßig für die Außenwelt mit authentischen Parties öffnet, meist mit elektronischem Sound, aber auch die Jugend der umliegenden Orte abholt. Ein wahrer Leuchturm unserer Szene!
 
Danke für die unvergessliche Zeit bei euch und ganz viel Spaß bei dieser Folge des SUBGROUND TALK’s über die Geschichte der MUNA!

“Wir” sind SUBGROUND - Ein Veranstaltungs- und Szenekollektiv, welches aus der unabhängigen Streaming-Plattform subground.org (https://subground.org/) hervorgegangen ist. Unser Host - Moritz König - und (3000GRAD-Verantwortlicher) Molle aka Mollono.Bass gründeten die Plattform 2020 als Support für die vom Corona Lockdown gezeichnete Szene, sodass sich diverse Clubs und Kollektive Online darstellen und Spenden sammeln konnten. Mittlerweile steht SUBGROUND unter anderem hinter verschiedenen Veranstaltungsreihen wie Klangwald und Rave Cage und arbeitet eng aber unabhängig mit 3000GRAD zusammen.
