Note for promoters: I have purposefully put together just a 30 minute mix as I appreciate we all have very busy schedules. It’s not easy getting your message across in such a short mix but it was enough time however to have a gradual increase in energy. In terms of classic drum and bass I can be very versatile. This particular mix is just a showcase of some of my personal favourites. I’m also more than happy to do this as a vinyl mix if need be. This was recorded on a Pioneer DDJ-FLX4.

Although Ana Crusis’s taste in music is heavily spread out across genres, when mixing on the decks you can find her focusing on everything Dark, Techy and Heavy. She likes to push boundaries and break barriers of what would be considered “acceptable”. This can be shown in some of her outerworldly deep twisted concoctions and high BPM’s.

When mixing Neuro Ana Crusis is notoriously known for mixing between 180-185bpm.

In this mix you can expect the full spectrum of Ana Crusis - starting things off Techy and Dark whilst slowly building up towards the heavier side of DnB.
In this mix you can notice how the tempo builds up throughout. Starting at 176bpm and finishing at 183bpm.

Ana Crusis’s ethos is quality over quantity and that quality has no fear of time.

Cerebral Mix Series 14 - SEMATIC

Emerging from a deep love affair with electronic music sparked in the mid-90s, I am Doc_DNB, a seasoned enthusiast who rediscovered my passion for music after a hiatus spent raising my daughter. During the COVID era, a friend's encouragement reignited my musical journey, steering me towards learning to mix.

In late 2023, I started learning the basics of mixing, only to be swept away the first time that I heard NEURO. It was a transformative encounter that shifted my musical compass.

In January 2024, fate led me to Perth, Australia, where a vacation unexpectedly turned into a defining moment. Mentored by some of my D&B idols in Perth, I returned home infused with an unparalleled zeal and newfound purpose.

Fuelled by this passion, I swiftly invested in my craft, acquiring three CDJ 3000's and an A9. Since then, there's been no looking back.

Musical Style:

My sets resonate with the raw energy of NEURO, blending intricate rhythms and deep basslines to create an immersive sonic experience that captivates and moves.
