This is a weird experiment.

This is actually an older odd acapella attempt of mine that I did around January of 2013. a few months before my "Game of Hodor" video.( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0nS8u6Td5I ) Everyday for the majority of the month, I attempted to sing Jonathan Coulton's "Nobody Loves You Like Me"(Great song on a great album by a great person) in some sort of different fashion and just see where it took me. It didn't matter if I was a sick or not (And I was on a couple of takes: The coughing is real, though I totally totally timed it for dramatic effect. The sickness got its revenge on me for that one.) I just got to the mic and did something with it. *Anything*. The end result is what you see here, warts and all. 

I freely admit I don't have the patience or talent to mix some 20 vocal takes. It kind of gives it this weird pub crawl song kind of vibe to it, which I ended up being attached to, for reasons that I hopefully think aren't entirely *too* lazy.

Anyway, enjoy!

P.S. Among the takes that didn't make it (I took out six of them because they just didn't mesh well or I had done the same thing better on another take.) was Me doing an awful Tom Waits impression. I am definitely not the Heart of Saturday Night. If anything, I'm the appendix.

Galaxy Man!

A long while ago, I was wanting to do a Persona mixtape because I basically love anything that Shoji Meguro does. The plan didn't pan out, but there were a couple of decent beats that came out of it. This is one of them! Feel free to use this for whatever if you want.

I had stuff written out for this one that I'm going to repurpose into another song someday soon.

I had high intentions for this track, like adding lyrics and vocals and trying to improve/mix it all together (Replacing the kit drums with more suitable sounds, etc.), but I never got around to it. Ruins mystifying, perplexing society

A Metroid herd floating on, I know I must make haste

Take the road most travelled, but where have they all gone?
Cargo slipping away with the last light of the sun
Activate night vision, all I see are piles of bones,
Shocking, creeping, realizing: I am not alone!

Drones fire ablaze, dive to the rocks to keep at bay
Rocks chipping away, recharge my shield in dismay
I thought it would be easy, a simple recovery,
But for Ridley I'd go to hell, a battlecry I will sing!

Breathing heavily, scattered drones on the floor
Open up, see the metroids waiting all for me
Grin victoriously, time to begin the capturing!

Traps unlatch, metroids react, too fast for me but I relax
Machines take care of them for me, Space Pirates are back on track
Euphoric Ecstacy, their cries soothing me softly
Mision Complete, but maybe they're not calling to me?

Turn around to see the rest of their Pack
Different stages never seen, I gasp, on stance attack
Take a step back, drop my things, try to flee the scene
But blocking the entrance: the giant Metroid Queen!

Her fangs grip my skin, I cringe, incisions sucking deep within
My core being wiped dry, life force now becoming dim
Can barely even scream, I feel a dream, my eyes are so heavy,
And as I disappear and I hear is me saying "I'm sorry, Ridley."
