So many PC-98 games have fantastic soundtracks, but this one in particular really stands out and I've been wanting to take a shot at covering/remixing it. I'm a sucker for the FM bassline in the original track. Hopefully I've done it justice here.

Adrift

This is a trance remix of "Final Battle" from the Lufia 2 OST. I decided to keep the remix a lot shorter than a typical trance track so that it doesn't overstay its welcome. I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out; it's the first time I've worked on a trance track and felt like all the instruments and structure came together the way I wanted them to. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it!

This weekend I tried making music for the YM2612 (the Sega Genesis soundchip) for the first time. Turns out it's a lot harder to make good use of all the available channels than I thought. I barely used any effects, so that's something I would like to explore more for my next attempt.
