Gestalt Session

Since TONE dropped his debut album last year ‘So I Can See You’ on Rhythm Section INTL to prominent acclaim, he has entasked his musical community to remix the album - namely members of the CURL collective. Formed in 2016 by Micachu, Coby Sey, and Brother May, they have performed together and released compilations from the likes of Lol K, Bianca Scout, Raisa K and others, who all feature on the remix album. As the version LP has taken fruition, Tone has played SXSW, Cafe OTO and 180 Strand, and simultaneously continuing his journey as a hard-working family man. 

TONE’s debut was filled with an ariose spoken singing style, post-punk tones and a back-to-basics production style courtesy of his 8-track tape machine - perfect elements for any remixer. With no specific brief, artists indulged in their specific visions. Trevor Jackson’s industrial dub aesthetic is brought to ‘Move Now’, his first remix since working for deftones’ ‘White Pony’ deluxe reissue in 2020. Stay Lo contributes a tribute to the early 10s ‘dreamstep’ with tik-tok friendly ‘In & Out’ remix and meditative chug from ‘So I Can See You Pt. 2’ by Coby Sey and Tone himself. 

The ‘So I Can See You’ LP represented cause and effect between his relationship with his own creativity and the emergence of his daughter, from pregnancy and beyond, and thus the remix LP explores the wider sonic variety of Tone and his musical compatriots.

ENVISAGE is a monthly radio show which brings to the listeners the latest music the melodic techno world has to offer. Hosted by Adam and Paul, also known as the DJ duo AVANTIME.

AVANTIME is a project born through a strong passion for melodic techno by two London-based DJs / Producers. Friends Paul Giuliani and Adam Ellwood began their musical journeys solo, but have found harmony and added creativity working together both in the studio and behind the decks.

In a short space of time, they have played for promotions such as April to July, PM:AM, Elevation London and performed at the legendary club Egg.

With their first single ‘Depart’ out on all music platforms and an upcoming remix already signed to a well established label, the guys aren’t waiting around with many unreleased tracks in the pipeline.

The duo has one joint goal to share their sound across the world, whilst filling dance floors with energy and joy!

So join them on their journey and experience a collaboration pushing the boundaries of time and imagination.

Continuing on the hunt for the next charter after 4 back to back releases charting on Beatport in multiple genres, Docka Records presents the next in the series. Enlisting production guru Zachary Zamarripa along with Somni who delivers a strong vocal for their house music masterpiece, “The One”, the track is reminiscent of a classic house music jam complete with a finger snap solo and big chord pianos. With Zach’s most recent album “Outrun” released on Black Hole Records having received large support from Above & Beyond, Don Diablo and a ton of others, “The One” is slayed for sustaining such success.  

On the remix front, having recently finished remixes for JES + Austin Leeds and their 1st original track 'Da Chug' released on System Recordings, Vibonacci & Starward deliver a heavy tech house remix utilizing “The One” as a basis for a dark yet chuggy track. Brining a techno edge to “The One”, Toronto based producers & label founders of Parliament House and China Club Records take select parts of the vocals and patiently grow the elements with a wobbling rhythmic bassline. Recent Icon Collective graduate out of Los Angeles, Thomas Garcia, with some heavy production surprises up his sleeve coming for 2017 jumps into a deeper mix of the pack properly reppin for LA. 

“The One” will be accompanied by the next chapter of the developing story to Docka’s experience on Earth, provided by Los Angeles based television and feature film writer, Russ Taylor.

The story…. 

A comet soars across the Milky Way, sending a message. A warning to planet Earth from Docka, the new savior of the galaxy. There is impending doom brought on by Docka's arch nemesis, Wocka. He would like nothing better than to destroy the earth unless Docka can stop him in time.

Docka is an alien who crashed on Earth after a space battle with the evil Wocka. Agents disguised as ordinary people try to kill Docka on Earth and stop his widespread brainwave communication. Not only does Docka have extraordinary mental powers, his entire body is made of tiny particles which give him massive healing, strength and stamina. He spreads his love of music to the masses until one day, he will be rescued from his home planet.

Docka works with different human artists and elements to produce songs on Earth. The songs are transmission signals, sending messages back to his home planet so he can be rescued. The home planet is also Docka. The people don't have names. They are all one. They are all Docka.
