A Steven Universe OC theme this time. The birth of a chubby Sapphire heralds a dark omen for district 231-Theta, and the Commander of the District dooms the premature Sapphire to be melted down for creating a less flawed Sapphire. She arrives there to meet Onyx, and she has a Vision, showing her happy and free with this very Gem. She tries to quietly speak, and assumes she is unheard... Until Onyx attacks the Gem Guard for harassing her to do the job she was given. Then Sapphire takes her hand and uses her gem-types naturally inborn speed to take her savior to a more slumlike region of District 231-Theta, until the heat dies down a little.



Edit- Elaborated Synopsis: Sapphire's Origin Story and Meeting Onyx

An Error occurs just before Phase three of her gestation period, the scientists of Imperial Garnet scramble to prevent emergence but Sapphire pre-conscious was like "I am a damn Sapphire, and FATE TELLS ME I AM TO BE BORN!"
The Guards and Imperial garnet look on in disgust after she forms into her current form, and immediately decide to kill her basically. On the way to the Junkyard, she feels her first tugs of fate leading her to the junkyard . She mistakes this as being her fate was to die from the start. But then her eye sees Onyx. And then she Sees Onyx, with her, holding her hand and asking her what her pet name should be, and Sapphy's voice in the vision said 'Saffy-Taffy'.
And quietly, she asks the Onyx to call her Saffy-Taffy for the rest of time. She gives a confused look and then it hits her. This Sapphire saw her in the Future. With the Sapphire present. Onyx punches out one of the guards holding Sapphire so hard it poofs, and Sapphire takes Onyx far from the scene before she gets herself killed.

Mistral, the Black Kite Hippogriff. Flying about along the coast, rivers, forests, and anywhere he wanders into. Always pushing himself to go faster for his own thrills. Always wanting to capture that rush he feels during a hunt. Often times, it gets him into trouble from being too reckless with trying to capture that fleeting feeling.. Though it hasn't dissuaded him yet as he keeps pushing his own barriers.

(Yes, I know the image isn't really a Hippogriff. Was just closest kinda thing I could get for a sort of reference.)

Just felt like making something and this is what came out. Mistral was a new creation so decided to give it to him and it feels right. Better than any other character, at least.
