Le Dawood Sound System, actuellement basé vers Poitiers est composé de 4 potes ayant entamé leur aventure commune il y a 6 ans.
Le projet a débuté avec très peu d'enceintes, mais dès le départ, ils avaient à coeur de partager leurs propres productions durant les soirées qu'ils organisaient, accompagnés de leur chanteur, Mc Mondoshawan, également producteur et depuis peu un trompettiste a rejoint l’aventure. Dawood, de par le dynamisme et la motivation de ses troupes a su attirer tout types d'individus dans leur univers autour de la musique dub mais pas seulement. Leurs événements sont ouverts à d'autres styles et cultures, rassemblant un public toujours plus large, amateurs de bonnes musiques.

Leur Sound System a beaucoup évolué et ils possèdent aujourd'hui 4 scoops. Ils se baladent avec celui ci tant en ville que dans les campagnes profondes pour diffuser leur musique et leur énergie.
Ils sont influencés par de nombreux styles de musique, allant du reggae, du roots, au stepper Uk et français, ainsi que par le hip hop, la musique électronique, les musiques traditionnelles d'ici et d'ailleurs dont ils s'inspirent pour leurs productions.
Depuis la sortie de leur deuxième EP « Da Inner Journey » le travail de production a continué, avec pour seul but de partager de bonnes vibrations destinés à toutes les personnes qui aimeraient se rassembler et partager des moments fédérateurs, de liberté et de partage dans ces temps difficiles. Ce troisième projet « Da Hive Mind » continue à affirmer la vibes particulère et personnelle du collectif, reprenant différents samples de musiques et ambiances traditionnelles dans 4 tracks, accompagnés ici de leur dub version.

The Dawood Sound System, currently based around Poitiers (France) is composed of 4 friends who started their common adventure 6 years ago.
The project began with very few speakers, but from the start, they wanted to share their own productions during the dances they organized, accompanied by their singer, Mc Mondoshawan, also producer, a trumpettist also joined the adventure recently. Dawood, thank's the dynamism and motivation of his troops, has attracted all kind of people in their world, around dub music but not only. Their events are open to other styles and cultures, bringing together an ever wider audience, lovers of good music.
Their Sound System has evolved a lot and they now own 4 scoops. They travel with this one both in town and in the deep countryside to spread their music and energy.
They are influenced by many styles of music, from reggae and roots to UK and French stepper, as well as hip hop, electronic music, traditional music from here and there, which they use as inspiration for their productions.
Since the release of the second EP “Da Inner Journey” the production work continued, with the only will to share great and positive vibes to all people that can’t gather, share moment of freedom and togetherness. This third opus “Da Hive Mind” marks a new stage in the life of the collective which continues to evolve and assert itself in its own style, using here sample of traditional music in 4 tracks with their dub version,

This series reveals some unique compositions on three different 12inch discs to take you on an extraordinary journey - a more than three year collaborative work with our good friend and musical mastermind Violinbwoy finally ready fi all sound systems around the globe. Again a path from version over version to a next version - dubwise all the way… nuff tuff riddims, mixes, dubz and vocals were sent back and forth between Poland, Germany, France, Croatia and the UK, with some nice encounters on stage, in the studio, on tour or somewhere in between…

"I Man Be Free" comes with two great righteous voices from Berlin, Saralène and Kali Green, chanting for freedom and unity. A real wake up call for all bredrin and sistren. A stepping riddim to make the bass rumble wherever this anthem reach… and it has already reached some dances around Europe with support by some big names in the scene...
Of course it contains a heavyweight dub and a 'part 2 style' extra raw and ruff version. Violinbwoy displaying some of his versatility in the arena of dubwise.
Flipping the disc reveals a very special gem: An almost classical piece, a lovely piano, accompanying Kali Green singing about "Whole Heap A Trouble" in the world - still forward on the positive vibeZ. Music across any kind of genre border that goes under one's skin and makes one tremble under the power of vibrations…

"Don't Kill Your Brother" is a tune very much needed in those times of political turmoil and warfare. Echo Ranks from Leicester, UK, calling upon his I-dren to stop the senseless killing. A message of peace for the youths of today. In this instance with a ruff remix by the 'Balkan Dub Defenders' Digitron from Zagreb, Croatia - electronic madness style… Each side with a 'part 2' dub mix in full effect.

The third vinyl is "Too Hot Fi Dem" - pure fire, again with Kali Green outta the Lion's Den on the vocals - strictly message music for the people. Pierced with another special remix version of "Don't Kill Your Brother" by Echo Ranks on the flipside - this time hailing from Paris, France, with none other than the mighty Bredrin Records on the mix to mek yu jump and twist… again both sides with powerful dubwise versions… nah compromise…

All dubs were transferred to 1/2inch Tape for extra analogue warmth, mastered with care and pressed on high quality 180g vinyl by Star Delta / Delta Disc, UK. It is also digitally available.
