Frenchman Traumer inaugurates his new label Gettraum this month, spicing things up with a move into a fresh micro-house blend, stepping away from the powerful techno sound we've come to expect for this release. The new label, in his own words, will be dedicated to "exposing his vision of music through his own sensibility", allowing him a certain freedom to exhibit his current tastes. Roe Deers is a Lithuanian based duo led by Liudas and Oskaras and When We Dip are delighted to have the honor of premiering a track from their next record on “beat is murder”. The French label is starting as they mean to go on with their debut release coming in the form of some fantastic music. Traumer gives the lead track on the record a work over and transforms it into a 15 minute beast, bringing you from highs to lows and through different tempos.

The Parisian duo Ohmme may be pretty fresh on the scene, but the roots of this project stem deep into the heart and soul of the underground. The project is in fact the brainchild of Olivier Giacomotto and David Lecocq, two of the French capitals most impactful names in the local and international music scene. The vision of this collaboration is to give priority to the groove, the funk and the sexiness of their sound, and with releases on Moan, Suruba X and now here at Deeperfect, no one can deny the impact they are making.
Getting things moving with ‘Clap”, we are introduced to the Ohmme Aesthetic; stripped back and hard hitting drum grooves paired with syncopated sub bass and carefully selected percussion sounds. A funky, energetic vocal weaves its way into the groove and is expertly affected to create tense moments of fun and excitement, which quickly suck back the dominant, pushing groove.
Up next is ‘Discount’ which continues on the theme of the EP with chunky low end pressure and sparing but intricate top grooves. Heavily affected vocals are worked into the groove and bring the tension high. The beats are complemented by some creative sampling and expert production to bring the track to the club stomping climax.
The third and final track ‘Nods’ works energetic percussion and crispy drums overtop of a rolling sub bass. Heavy fx swells and pitched vocal builds bring excitement and tension which releases back to the pumping main groove. It is definitely a track to turn the heat up on the dancefloor and get the crowd going wild!

Alexandros Djkevingr, and Greg Ignatovich are veterans of the Greek underground scene. They both have significant DJ and production histories as individuals, but since stepping into the studio together, they have exploded onto the global scene. They have previous releases on some of the titan labels of the industry, Diynamic, Suara and Elrow amongst others. Their releases have garnered massive support from the A-list DJ’s as well, and with names like Solomun, Coyu, Danny Tenaglia and Oliver Koletzki all giving their seal of approval, we can be sure these guys are doing something right!
Dancing Bear is a pushing mainroom track that comes out guns blazing from the get-go. Riding a line between techno and peaktime tech house this energetic monster starts out with punchy 16th hats and a pulsing analogue hook that form the backbone of the track together with a thumping kick. The syncopated bassline provides still more energy and while it remains deep and tucked in for the most part, it occasionally opens up to reveal the epic acid riff that is contained below the filter cutoff.
Label mainstay Leonardo Gonnelli is on remix duty and turns in a stellar rework. This version keeps the vibe of the original but presents it as a groovy tech house roller. Leonardo illustrates his studio prowess by manipulating the original elements in creative ways which help to make his masterful rework both cohesive and unique at the same time.

Longtime Deeperfect artist Danniel Selfmade is now ready to make his debut on DPE, Deeperfect’s sister label. This Italian producer has been making a big name for himself, with literally hundreds of releases on the biggest labels. He is a hit machine, churning out chart topping releases at an alarming rate and we are excited to bring his latest creations to you here.
The title track, ‘Monophone’ is a dubby, deep, minimal burner, expertly crafted by one of the best producers in the game. A stripped back groove pushes along and uses intricate percussion and effects to create a sense of tension and drama. Haunting keys evolve to create a unique and hypnotising dynamic within the composition and further develop the eerie nature of the record.
Up next is ‘Why Here’ which takes a more peak time approach to proceedings. A heavy beat is joined by an offbeat bassline and a pulsing analogue percussion that creates ample energy and gives the track a minimal techno vibe. The track opens in the breaks, introducing a deep spoken vocal and engulfing analogue effects, to become an intense dancefloor bomb.
Closing out the EP we have ‘That’s Right’ which is a pumping deep bomb. It starts out subtly and stripped back with a punchy beat and grooving sub. Intricate and evolving melodies enter the scene and develop the tune into a standout dancefloor viber with a unique character and soul.
