We have been eagerly awaiting their return to Dispatch and in Spring 2015, we are pleased to welcome back Amoss to the label for a three track single. 

Developing their signature sound and technical prowess, the duo balance a mixed palette of styles for various moods, demonstrating a maturity and increased versatility in production in their first label release since the acclaimed ‘State of Suspension EP’.

Jumping straight in at the deep end, the pair set off the release with a much anticipated first collaboration with Dutch counterpart Fre4knc, for ‘Oxide’. Sinister growls cut across this ominous stepper, held in check by a clean, yet brutal bassline that retains all the deadly energy of the track, whilst smoothly cutting through the mix.
	
Switching the flavours and vibes, Amoss allow their Special Forces influences to seep through with ‘Hold Back’. An inquest into the percussive elements, the pressure is raised to deliver a high octane drum focused workout. A careful selection of toms and snares give the track a very organic, almost live feel.

Taking things up a notch towards the fatal crescendo, the London based duo journey a little darker on the destructive ‘Skittles’. Combining haunting atmospherics, razor sharp beats and unrelenting technical stabs ahead of and following the drop, this neck snapper was built for the dancefloor, possessing all necessary formulae for chaos.

Following a string of successful label releases in a short period of time, DLR is ready to unleash his debut solo album on Dispatch Recordings, entitled ‘Seeing Sounds’.

Having previously collaborated with Octane on the ‘Method In The Madness’ album, DLR has quickly established his own signature sound; an instantly recognizable groove mischievously poking through the mix, terrorizing dancefloors in a truly unique way.

As an album concept, ‘Seeing Sounds’ is DLR’s exploration into sound design and how the manipulation of organic elements and subtle soundscapes can create imagery within the music; to set the scene and immerse the listener up to a cinematic level.

Commencing this quest from abstract beginnings, DLR investigates over a selection of different formats and styles, ranging from the tantalizing neck snapper “Charlie Brown” to the sinister breakbeat nonchalance of “I Found Out”.

Inviting external influences to the fold; specially selected guests join the project to explore further, including Total Science, creating the cataclysmic “Control The Sound”, Hydro, the ambient chords and emotive vocal sample in ‘Empyreal” and partner in crime Break, resulting in the mighty, yet constrained “Human Error”.

Since Resident Advisor’s initial announcement, the album has garnered support from all corners, including Noisia, Friction (numerous Radio 1 plays), Goldie, Calyx & Teebee and The Upbeats, with Mixmag selecting it as their February ‘Album of the Month’. The early support from Friction on his BBC Radio 1 show also led to a special invite where DLR dropped an album mix in for live broadcast on the 13th of January.

With an innate understanding of the technology available and a shrewd willingness to exploit it, ‘Seeing Sounds’ is the culmination of DLR’s very best work to date.

The A-side, ‘From The Shadows’ combines beautiful pad work, and sublime vocals from Emmy Cath with an evil bassline, making for an awesome cocktail of styles. The drums switch effortlessly between rolling and halftime in a truly unique way. The tossing and turning between gully roller and liquid beauty sits perfectly, as the track takes you on a journey through sound. This is a really musical piece of drum & bass that will fit into any set anywhere.

The B-side, ‘Reaching Out’, begins with an ominous atmosphere with metallic percussive work, leading the listener down a strange path towards a very Exit-esque, half-time cacophony of majestic sonics. Scattered breaks and Emmy's background vocals only add to the perfect blend, and the rolling drums on top make for one hell of a track.

The opening to ‘Breakout’ is simply stunning. Lofty, buzzing, arcing inter-stellar sounding sweeps,
evanescent hats narrowing in with a seductive female vocal hit that faints as the punchy bass kicks in.
Sparse minimalistic beats with teases of old skool breaks accompanied by that swelling granular mid bass
drapes the track in a cloak of darkness. Deep, dark and edgy.

We are proud to present to you our next d’n’b-themed vinyl release, which comes with two absolutely fantastic deep-bassed and crisp-beated rollers. In the case of this record, we can speak of a small Polish invasion, as both tracks have been written and produced by two Polish supertalents – @mortem1, who has been making big waves in the d’n’b industry for some time already, and @harland – an established Warsaw-based event promoter and DJ, and a now-upcoming producer, teaming up with Mortem on the flipside. Starting off with Mortem’s “Proximity”, you’ll surely appreciate his trademark to-the-point drumwork and clear basslines, adorned with intriguing vocal inserts and growling synths. “The Same”, with its quick-paced hi-hats, riveting synthetic melody, and spacious bassline, is surely more dancefloor-oriented, but still fits the deeper side of d’n’b perfectly, making this record as a whole a very welcome addition to the Absys family.
