Getting my groove back...Getting happy.

Each CD is sort of a mini set complete with highs, lows, and "F*CK YEA!" moments. 
My taste is all over...There probably aren't many more podcasts that you can find Joe Gauthreaux ((shout out)) and Skrillex in the same set. 

By no means do I consider myself a DJ, but I'd like to think I have a pretty good ear for music. Hopefully soon I will start to learn the technical side of spinning without using a computer as a crutch. 

For now I'm on an Asus U47A with an Intel Core i5 @ 2.5GHz and 6 Gigs of RAM running Windows 8 Pro. I use MixMeister Studio 7.4 and Virtual DJ Pro 7 pretty regularly and pump the sound through an Asus Xonar U3 USB card to a pair of M-Audio AV 40 studio monitors. I keep the tracks I'm currently working with locally on my hard drive and store the rest on a 2TB Western Digital MyBook which I attached a PogoPlug device to make it a NAS. My headphones which I've had for years have recently sprouted legs and walked off so my most recent purchase are the Pioneer HDJ-1500's.
