BIOSYNTH - BURN OUT Feat Hos Anna - ALDA REMIX

The next Controlla adventure brings a five-track EP by the young and promising Mexican producer Samuel Lupian (SXDNS087): "La Cura" delivers three killer originals and two great remixes by Alvee and Pvlomo & Galo Santo.

If you are not familiar with the work of the 19-year-old talent, you’d better catch up: Despite the tender age, he has already remixed tracks of established artists such as Diaz Tech (SXDNS089), Veltran, Ali X X Ximena (SXDNS070) and Pvlomo (SXDNS098), also released on Controlla, besides having his tunes remixed by CSK (SXDNS088) and Bad Wolf, released on Csk:Beat.

The track we chose to premiere, "Es Tu Mente", is a caliente & spicy & hot & piquant tune that shows how skilled Samuel is. Fun fact: He made it in 2018 when he was only 17 years old. The kid’s technique is second to none, in our humble opinion, and we can honestly say he has been paving a solid path for a bright career. The Spanish lyrics ("Juega, corre, vive, siente, ya no pares, estas demente/Juega, corre, vive, siente, es tu magia, es tu mente"), sang by Samuel himself, are one of the highlights of this beautiful track. The arpeggiated and obscure synth layers are another element we cannot forget to mention.

For its fourth release, the Swedish label Trampoliner is welcoming Tony y Not (SXDNS183). The Berlin/NYC-based artist, whose rousing blends of sounds are as razor-sharp as she is, is a DJ, producer, and cosmic event planner. From venues and parties like Watergate and Cityfox to experiences like Burning Man, Tony y Not uses music as a tool to communicate what words simply cannot, empowering crowds to smile, look forward, and not take themselves too seriously. For her new release, she brought together a strong line-up of remixers: Everyone's favourite Italian duo Armonica, heavyweight Swiss duo Animal Trainer, and Australian sensation Made In Paris.

Despite the insightful remixes, we opted to premiere the beautiful original. In our humble opinion, “Last Night” is a flawless masterpiece. It managed to enchant us from its very beginning. When the mighty bassline makes its entrance, you realize it is time to deliver yourself to the melody and give up being ashamed for dancing alone in your living room. The vibrant acid and the trippy synth layers complete the combo of elements wisely concocted by Tony.

Panthera Krause's latest and divinely titled album "It's a Business Doing Pleasure With You" is now a year old, but nonetheless still blissfully resonating. Beyond The Struttopshere is a collaboration between Leo Strutt (Strutt Bros DJs) and Ben Chetwood (Flying Mojito Bros, Damian Lazarus’s Ancient Moons) aimed at channelling their considerable musical production experience and boundless love of cosmic dark disco. Riding on the success of their first EP, released on Gouranga in late 2020, the boys are back with a second offering on Mélopée Records. The first track, Replicants, delivers a pounding hambone bassline, bolstered by an unrelenting 303, spacey sitar stabs and a futuristic vocal sample. Celestial Drift, the second, is cosmic disco banger that draws on elements of progressive trance and driving Italo. It comes complete with nuanced percussion, a titillating arpeggiator line and an array of galactic synth melodies. Remix duties are provided by Mexican dark disco wizard, Roliva, and Mélopée stalwart, Camilo Sanjuan. Strap yourselves in for an interstellar ride Beyond The Struttosphere!
