This a track from my new classical suite for children (released under my other name, Lily Cat Music for Kids) The entire suite is based on the stories of Hans Christian Andersen.  The Last Dream of the Old Oak is not one of Anderson's most famous stories, but has always been one of my favorites.  It's the poignant story of the of a massive oak tree who watches generations of men come and go in his long life, and finally succumbs to his own death, as if in a dream.

I was in Iceland over a year ago and while there, wrote several pieces, impressions of the landscape and people in a marvelous country. Prolific, mysterious, reclusive and private.  Her work is encyclopedic.  Singer/Songwriter, Composer, Poet, Writer, Pianist and Multi Instrumentalist, all from her tiny studio in the woods in the Cumberland Mountains of East Tennessee.  A rural American phenomenon.
