Composer of Basanta Batase : Baul Shah Abdul Karim (1916-2009).
he was a resident at Dholgram in Sunamganj, Bangladesh. He mastered baul doctrine and had a comman over music as well. This piece expresses his deep passion for spring. Composer of Rangeronggin is Sursudhakar Shyamapada Bhattacharya (1910-1886). Born at Dhakadakhin, Sylhet, later settled at Silchar in Assam, He had almost the same aplomb both Classical and folk music. The piece is Composed following the traditional Holi tune of Sylhet. Sylheti Holi tune has got a touch of Raga Basant - Seemingly classical and folk tunes are incredibly blended in the song creating an extraordinary ambience. This is obviously the gift of spring that brought the two maestros - Karim and Shyamapada together.

Birth place Amtagram, at present Manikgonj, Dhaka. But he spent his major part of life in Kolkata, established Matrimandir. He was a versatile artist. He had profound devotion for Kali. His music has an amazing blending between Shakti Sadhana and Maromia Sufi. The piece is a devotional one and to some extent blended with Dehatatwa. Bhaba's numbers are neither Baul nor Folk, yet Bauls widely sing them all across Bengal. 

Nadi Bhora Dheu by Dohar

This number is largely related to the life of Sri Chaitainya Mahaprabhu, at the same time, it also relates to Dehatatwa (wisdom based on body). 'Chaitainya' has got the other meaning - 'Chetana', that means consciousness. Devotee yearns to keep hold of Sonar Gour in his very core of feart. This song is very popular among the Bauls of West Bengal. This first part of it is invocation to Gour.
