DOJAS stands for grooves in all shades of House and after refining his sound during residency at Berlin club Chalet in 2018 he's played some of the cities best clubs including KaterBlau, Sisyphos, GoldenGate and Renate in recent years. 

Since then https://soundcloud.com/dojas founded the new collective/label association of unison, hosting parties at Christa Kupfer, Bulbul (formerly Farbfernseher) and Renate. 

Just back in town after his NYC debut we are happy to have him on the series - you can catch him play at Golden Gate on October 3rd

Ben Teufel and Peppe Markese teamed up for a big, techy EP called Be The Change and it’s out on Bontek Music.

My homie Ben Champell is also back with a new EP on Dechapter and it’s called Carlsberg.

Austrian fellow Lobert will release his next EP on Roovestar called Town EP and it’ll be out on Monday, Feb. 26th.

And Berlin-based DJ Lion has a new EP on SetAbout called Void Raid and it’ll be out this Friday Feb. 23rd

Podcast #057: DOJAS  (Spule Musik I Glück im Ohr I Berlin)

Wir freuen uns, euch unseren neuen Zwischenmieter Dojas aus Berlin vorstellen zu dürfen.

Für den echten Berliner ist Musik ein wesentlicher Bestandteil seines Lebens. Er mag Tech-House bzw. rhythmusfokussierte, funktionale, treibende, elektronische Musik. Als langjähriger Schlagzeuger fühlt er sich diesem Genre besonders zugewandt. Durch seinen Vater, so berichtet er uns, kam er mit verschiedenen Musik Stilen in Berührung. In der väterlichen Musiksammlung waren unter anderem auch CDs von Kraftwerk und Daftpunk. 

Das Mixen von Platten und Menschen zum Tanzen zu bringen faszinierte ihn schon als Kind, denn die Auftritte der DJs in den Familienurlauben wurden aufmerksam von ihm beobachtet. Nach dem Abitur legte er sich zwei Plattenteller und ein Mischpult zu und begann zu üben.

Durch das Berliner Nachtleben, Partys und Clubbesuche mit Freunden begann sein Interesse an der elektronischen Musik. Sein erstes Album „Bold“ wurde 2017 auf dem Schweizer Label „Rawls Musik“ veröffentlicht. Seine zweite EP „Your House“ ist kürzlich  ist am 14.05. auf dem spanischen Label „Be One Limited“ erschienen.

Zu seinen Highlight Gigs zählen neben sonnigen OpenAirs unter anderem das Château Perché Festival im schönen Frankreich und Sonntagsgigs im Kater Kiosk und im Golden Gate, an denen vor allem das Publikum durch konstant geile Stimmung überzeugte, denn nach seiner Aussage ist der Mix aus "Frischen" und Leuten vom Vorabend das Patent-Rezept für eine abfeiernde Crowd. 

Der Podcast, den er für uns gezaubert hat klingt so, als könnten wir die überzeugten Tänzer im Publikum auf dem nächsten Sonntags Open-Air sein! Noch nicht reingehört? Anlage anschmeißen und PLAY!

DOJAS stands for grooves that come in all shades of House: Minimal House, Deep Tech, Tech House, Rominimal. He first performed in Berlin at Farbfernseher in 2015. The formation of the B2B Society collective led to performances in Paris and his hometown of Berlin, and in 2016 and 2019 he returned to France to play at the Château Perché Festival. He refined his sound with a residency at Chalet in 2018 and has made stops at various Berlin clubs including KaterBlau, Sisyphos, GoldenGate and Renate in recent years. In 2022 he also founded his new collective/label called association of unison, hosting parties at Christa Kupfer, Bulbul (formerly Farbfernseher) and Renate. Recently he also made his NYC debut at TBA Brooklyn as well as international gigs in Copenhagen & Paris.
