The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Ōtone. "Slice (Go Hiyama Remix)" comes off the new release, Sliced Remixed, forthcoming on YGAM. Originally released as part of Catartsis & Ōtone’s “Mechanical Gesture” split EP in 2020 on Obscuur Records and reissued as a 12” record in 2021, Ōtone’s “Slice” has since been summoned into the sets and ears of a myriad of DJs and dancers. Now, the track gets a much welcome remix treatment resulting in an eclectic gathering of breakbeat, techno, and hyperpop chimaeras through which recordings of cutting engines swirl anew thanks to the craft of Sister Zo, Go Hiyama, Lara David, Yogg, Neve, and Catartsis. Today we premiere the heavy hitting Go Hiyama remix.

One of the most exciting emerging artists out of the south-German techno scene, he already has releases on Berlin based Akronym Collective, Airod's Elixyr Label and a co-sign by Amelie Lens‘ Global Underground mix series. He combines Hard Trance with old school Techno elements and since his first gigs in 2021 he is a main part of the collective and event series ‚Teufelswerk‘ in Augsburg. His DJ sets are a combination of Early Hardstyle, Schranz and newer Industrial Techno and are always mixed in a fast-paced fashion and our mix today is a great example.

Her own heady and hypnotic productions have appeared on Rekids’ offshoot RSPX, and showcas what she is all about: atmospheric soundscapes with raw textures, erotic moods and mind -melting synths all topped off with ethereal vocals that lodge deep in the soul. She's also known for throwing underground raves in Bangladesh under the Techno Bunker banner and her Mind Medizin label Mind Medizin label also helps her on her mission. It is an ecosystem of self-expression with its own sporadic events around the world where people are free to explore the dark and mysterious, the seductive and the shadowy.
