In 2002 MoreHouse Records debut release “Inside My Soul” was supported by the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, Louie Vega & Marques Wyatt to name a few.

As the story goes, just prior to its release Groove Junkies’ Evan Landes met Brian Tappert (one-half of House music royalty Jazz N’ Groove, co-owner of the iconic Soulfuric Records imprint and co-founder of Traxsource.com) for the first time at WMC. Brian had previously heard some material that Evan had sent over and originally wanted to sign one song in particular to Soulfuric. When the meeting ended, however, a bigger picture presented itself and MoreHouse Records (MoHo) became the first label to be distributed by Soulfuric. The song that sparked Brian’s interest, which ultimately became MoHo’s first release was “Inside My Soul.”  The initial offering from MoreHouse featuring the amazing vocals of Solomon Henderson caused quite a stir in the dance community, and put both the label, and for all intent and purposes Groove Junkies on the map. “Inside My Soul” is a record with tons of heart that oozes with soul, quality and class. Its relatable message has stood the test of time. In 2010 Evan gave it a fresh makeover and included it on his full length LP “In The Zone.” Now 5 years later it gets ‘Reworked’ with the deft touch of Swiss producer Terry Lex and Evan who’s riding the momentum from his #1 remix of Spiritchaser’s “Conch” in late 2014 and recent collaboration with Michele Chiavarini & Carolyn Harding titled “Play,” which peaked at #3 on Traxsource.com’s Top 100 Soulful Chart in Feb. 2015. On the ‘rework’ of “Inside My Soul,” GJs venerable front man once again displays the versatility of seasoned artist who still has his finger on the pulse of modern dance music.

Terry Lex is no stranger to House music either. He has worked in A&R, as a DJ, producer and studio engineer since the early 90’s and has had many top releases on some of the hottest dance labels in the scene including Milk & Sugar, Zulu, Soul Heaven, Duffnote, Liquid Deep, Tactical and Discopolis amongst many others! In 2014 and early 2015 Terry and long time partner Matt Caseli scored Top 10 and Top 15 hits on Beatport’s TOP 100 House Chart with their amazing cover of Underworld ''Born Slippy,” and an original titled “We Fade” which was co-penned & co-produced by Evan. Mr. Lex is the founder of Push On Music and has collaborated with many amazing Artists including Kenny Bobien, Peven Everett, L.T. Brown, Marc Evans & many more.

Evan and Terry have delivered 2 no nonsense mixes that are road tested and primed to do some serious damage on a variety of dance floors. Phat analogue bass, stabby synth chords and 808  / 909 beats provide the foundation for Solomon’s incredible vocal.  On the ‘Vocal Rework’ the fellas only use the best of the best lead adlibs and chorus from the original and have eliminated the verses with amazing results. On the ‘Dub Rework’ the boys use even less vocals and take a more repetitive and trippy approach with the vocals. The chopped up bass and org combo give things a more hypnotic, dubby feel. Both mixes hit the mark so choose at your own peril!
