Uncanny Lobby is the 3rd track from my ep Adventures In Atlantis DLC. This project was part of a cross-disciplinary collaboration with Leftist Legume. They wrote a short science fiction story which was handed to me as it was being drafted and I created a soundscape to represent the narrative as it emerged.

Thickly Painted Closet - dedicated To Adorno (doktorb's Ctheory2YTP Pipeline mix)

This track was created to help celebrate the 5th Birthday of one of my favourite net labels, Space Anemone. It was created out of a loops I sampled out of Micheal Jackson meme videos where songs had been attuned so every note was C producing a deliciously uncanny effect.

This track is for the 2022 HBI compilation Dawn of the Headless Blood Idol. We put this comp together to try and raise some money to try and offset some of the operating costs associated with running out livestream events and web hosting.

My contribution is a collaboration with my dear friend SOFT//:SOUNDS who rescued me from the depth of writer's block with this project. I loved working on this track because we let it evolve organically by ping ponging loops and ideas back and forth to see what would manifest. I love this result!!

It might become part of an album project that I have had kicking around which is intended as a follow-up for ultimate cringe compilation but at this stage I am not entirely sure. Another one that I have had sitting around for quite some time, I really love how this one springs off in so many weirdly tangential directions whilst still remaining cohesive somehow. I also enjoy how all the the different fidelities clash to produce a sort of handmade texture that feels authentically like collage in a scissors and glue sort of way.

In any case, I always regretted not uploading every track from ultimate cringe compilation because this album was such a milestone for me creatively. And, in many ways, it's a pre-cursor to blurstNRG which would never have came to be had I not done this first.

brittle drumz wage warrrr

This is the first finished draft from an album I am working on called 'enough'. I've decided to upload everything that I create for this project as I finish it to keep me honest about keeping on keeping on.

It's been a hell of a time recently and enough is about what that means (for me and anyone else caught up in this shit).

So what is enough?

Do I have enough? Or have had enough? (Am I willing to tap the mat and yell uncle?) Or, if I'll stubbornly keep stumbling along, refusing to give in, then how can I become the version of enough that my life and the people in it need me to be?

Have you had enough of inane questions? I have...

And, I don't know any answers anyway, so i hide in front of my computer chopping samples together into weird little sketches, all the time hoping that the answers will be transmit to me through the sounds that claw their way out from my Audacity projects.

No such luck (yet) so I gots to keep on chopping.

on Escape

in this house the violence of you is the air that we breath. an ambient condition or aggressive non-presence that supercharges the moment, like trying to keep calm in a room decorated with DayGlo wall paper and lit by 5000k light bulbs. this uncomfortable nothingness burns my likeness into your retinas and stains my memories of you. make no mistake, it hurts to spend time here, like being buried alive under the weight of all those unmet expectations i tried and failed to live up to.

the violence of you

this track is the answer to a zen koan that no one is asking. it is the sound of an army of dead cats bouncing. if you've ever wondered what an army of dead cats bouncing sounds like, well... now you know (de nada). this track was *supposed* to sound like a lil ugly mane instrumental but alas, it does not. then again does lil ugly mane even sound like lil ugly mane? i mean, each of his albums is so distinct it's almost as if they were made by completely different people. i don't have this problem. in my case, i open up audacity hoping to do something profoundly different and it all comes up 100% doktorb. so here, have another doktorb, it's on the house (me)
