This song highlights the frustration and angst many of us experience at times when facing the reality of chronic illness. Sometimes we stare at the void and wonder at the meaning of life and if there's enough meaning to keep going. This isn't an easy topic and I hope the song leaves people a little uneasy. Sometimes it's easier to turn away from the very hard issues but sometimes just talking about these things is hugely helpful. 

The name of the song comes from a twitter hashtag that the chronic illness community use to share thoughts, questions and solidarity. We do search for the faintest light and we face these things together. 

The song wrestles with the matter of patience in the face of a lack of hope but ends with a slightly cynical plea to 'throw me a bone' as we call for greater levels of understanding, awareness and impetus in research.
