This is about as close to a "dittie" as you get in the synth VST world. I loaded up 5 different VSTs, four from Logic Pro X and 1 from Kontakt, mapped them into 5 different and sometimes overlapping parts of the keyboard and played it all in one go. In other words this is a one man band piece that can be performed live - there are no overlays just a single play. It was kind of fun doing this and I felt like one of those street musicians playing on a pedestrian street in front of an old-fashioned department store while playing. Maybe some of you will enjoy.

We had met for a jam session without plan and purpose during the last sunny Saturday afternoon last year. By the time of this recording, we hadn't known that soon we would want to go for pee break, that the studio door is self closing, that the key was left in the studio, and that we would end up with nothing but the clothes on ourselves, one face mask and a bit of cash, and that we would spend the rest of the day waiting in front of some pub until it would open because there were rumors that some Tim working there has another key.

The Last Time I Went Home

Hey… thanks for dropping by. This is a simple Blues song. Songs, such as this, happen when I find myself in a songwriting slump. Lack of inspiration and ideas exacerbate the situation, pushing me back to the Blues. I grumpily relent then wallah, a song. And what better Blues theme than relationships? Seems I mine that gold often, which maybe says more about me than I’d like to reveal. But who cares? It’s the Blues. Here, Winter will not let go. Bitter, unrelenting winds, near horizontal snowfall, and minus 18F tonight. I looked outside this morning and a rabbit was waiting by the front door for me to put some carrots out. All the birds were hunkered down in thick pines, except for some ravens scavenging the neighborhood. There were some high flying geese as well, that flew by. They always seem to panic in the frigid weather. It almost sounds like they’re honking… ‘let’s get outta here.’ I don’t blame them. The deer are more wary now for some reason, and I only see their frozen tracks and fresh tree/sapling rubbings. I wrapped a couple trees to protect them, buried others in snow, but left 4 where they had scraped the bark bare. I will probably have to cut those trees down, but will wait to see if they survive. After getting some garden carrots for the rabbit, I decided to shovel some snow and work on my ice beard. It was cold enough today that condensation from my breath froze on my beard. They have an ice beard competition here and post pics of the best ones. There are some maniacs who stay out in the cold to ‘grow’ solid ice beards, and a chance at winning. Some have icicles hanging off their chin. No cheating with pouring water on your beard. Just having snow blowing into your beard along with some condensation from breathing. I let my face thaw out, when I came inside. Later in the afternoon… I walked down the the mailbox in the wind and there were tiny little horizontal icicles on the latch. I had to walk around a semi truck, completely blocking the road. The truck driver tried to turn onto our street and got stuck in a deep snowdrift. A neighbor came down and pulled the semi out with his tractor. I watched for a bit, then headed home. So now I am glad I am inside. Take care, Mark

An instrumental tribute to my favourite three piece rock band.
Formed in 1968, they were at the top of their game as musicians and songwriters and had a massive following across the globe. Currently they are ranked fifth in the U.S. for the most consecutive gold or platinum studio album sales by a rock band, only behind The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Kiss and Aerosmith.
I had the pleasure of seeing them play live many times during their lengthy career and it always amazed me how three guys could make such an amazing sound. They finally called it a day with the sad passing of their drummer in 2020. The song title is a reference to the place where they were formed and to the lyrics of one of their early songs, but who were they?

Glass and concrete are so intertwined with the neural network of their inhabitants that a kind of symbiosis is obtained, reaching parasitism of one above the other. A small person has a choice: to be free or to become a link in this system, having realized this choice, the choice as such ceases to exist.

Dolbania was founded in January 2008 by two friends and a cat - lovers of good heavy music. Then a gloomy Gothic composition was recorded on the poems of I.V. Goethe on an acoustic guitar and synthesizer.
In the first year of her existence, she was in a creative search, with an admixture of depression. We searched for inspiration at abandoned industrial facilities and in listening to a huge amount of music. We fucked for a long time and a year later we finally decided on the style that you can currently hear in our songs.
