For me, music and movement are  medicine, but the most powerful boost is having a supportive, authentic and hilarious group of people by your side for this wild slip slide ride! We all have to define success for ourselves... I must say I am feeling wildly successful these days, my heart is overflowing with love for life and my community... and BEATS!!! 

Saw @moontricks play in the Queen Elizabeth park yesterday evening and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I've had in Revelstoke... what a vibe! They played Soul Baby for their last track which reminded me of this old episode of Irie and Fiery from 2018. It was before I learned how to mix music, but the track selection is boss! Have a listen and a boogie and open your heart riggghhht up!

Born in Texas and raised in Alberta, Hilary now resides in Revelstoke, BC. Her early musical influences departed from the twangy norm to follow the bassy draws and soulful sounds of Brooklyn, Oakland, Havana, Kingston and beyond.

Here is the last two hours of my set from Allez! A rooftop speakeasy disco/funk party. This was an inspired evening that transported attendees back to the 70s! The outfits were fabulous and retro, and the ‘no phones’ rule resulted in an evening of connection and dancing without distraction. The 70s is my absolute favourite decade for music and it comes across in this set. Thank you so much for your energy and dancing all evening long! I had so much fun! This evening felt like a soul cleanse! Sometimes, you just need to send some love into the ethos and dance it out. Thank you for being a part of that.

This mix is my Bass Coast application mix and showcases passion for my absolute favourite genre to mix and dance to, dancehall! Endless love and gratitude for Jamaican artists and their tidal waves of talent and inspiration 🙏 I mixed this using Serato, 4 channels, and stems. Went easy on the  pullbacks and sirens, but had to include a few as a salute to my dancehall predecessors :)

And an honourable shoutout and thank doodle for friends and muses like my dear Johnny Irwin (Civilian) who throughout my career and our friendship has constantly reminded me of my worth and that there is inherent value in being a SELEKTAH! Johnny, you are honestly so important to so many people and we are all so lucky to know you my dude! MY DUDE! Here it is — an early morning love letter to Jamaican music, one of the enduring loves of my life. Best listened to with the woofer's woofin' 🔊

At times I serenaded you with soulful reggae; at times, I shelled you with basslines — all straight from my tender heart to yours. Massive thanks to the Akisq’nuk First Nation, the Wicked Woods crew, and ever-expanding gratitude to Indigogh (Jackson), who mastered a track the night before I left for the Woods of Whimsy — so I could bathe the forest creatures in proper root chakra frequencies.

This show is a salute to the music that I keep going back to over and over again… that sweet sweet reggae music. Thank you Jamaica! This one is really special  as I just returned from my first Jamrock Reggae Cruise, a reggae music festival on a cruise ship that sails from Florida to Jamaica and back. It was an absolutely incredible experience, and I am really excited to share some music from the boat as well as some of my favourite reggae chunes coming out of Jamaica right now. Keep it locked!
