I wrote this song about the voices in my head and some of the crazy hallucinations I sometimes have. It's about my schizophrenic and depressive episodes.

I really don't care no more.... nothing I can fix other than what is in my view, so eh, why worry about it!



I used to chase the headlines, living in the noise,  
Thought I’d find my answers in their polished poise.  
But now those flashing lights just feel like fading stars,  
I’m done with all the drama from Chicago to Mars.  


'Cause I don’t care no more about the politics or fame,  
Ain't losing sleep over money or whose team won the game.  
The world keeps spinning while I'm standing still,  
Found peace in simple moments—got no time for that thrill.  

   
Turned off the evening news and poured a glass of beer,  
Watched the sunset paint the sky—a masterpiece no fear..   
Forget about those diets; I’ll take my peanut butter cups cold,   
Life’s too short for counting carbs or chasing dreams sold.   

 
'Cause I don’t care no more about the weather or trends,  
No need for shiny cars when you've got real good friends.  


Like my dog Chewy, and cat Toby.......

The globe's a heavy burden but I've learned to let it be,  
I'm dancing in my backyard where my heart can roam free.


So let ‘em talk 'bout Europe and what’s wrong over there,    
I'll be singing on this porch while life drifts through my hair.    
With every note I'm singing, all those worries drift away,    
In this little piece of heaven is where I choose to stay.
