On my last track I mentioned that growth takes humility and patience. Most of us are scared to try out new things because there's the fear of failing. I started this music Journey about a year ago, out of the blue decided to impulsively purchase a keyboard and started learning how to play with youtube videos. I'm far from perfect, but sometimes it's all about the basics. In January I downloaded Ableton and I was instantly hooked. All that being said, I'm far from perfect, but I am going to try and reflect on some minor changes from old to track my own lil improvement. 

One of my best friends would always tell me that with practices comes perfect, and as long as we strive each day to just be a fraction of the percentage better than we were yesterday. So here we are. Not many changes, but just with minor tweaks and things I've learned along the way since last month when I first released this song, here's the updated version. Hope you enjoy it :)

It's Only Wednesday

Fred again vibes. I’m now 11 months into producing. Each day learning a little more and things are starting to click. Still far from perfect, but damn does it feel good to just mess around with something you're passionate about. 

A few songs ago whenever I talked about humility, I constantly get to look back at some of the first songs I’ve posted. I thought I’d be ashamed or embarrassed for how bad they were, but now I look back thinking how much I could and would change about them now. I think I’m going to make it a goal to remake all of the songs I posted applying things I’ve learned over the years and see how much they change.

SERENITY

Really excited about this one, I think this is my best one yet. 
It's amazing to see how repetition and the willingness to learn from mistakes can help with improvement. This is my 11 Month mark of my musical journey and it has been the most soul cleansing hobby to distract from all the funk going on in the world. 

Takeaway from 11 months of producing: 
1 - Less is more
2 - EQ EQ EQ
3 - Even on days with writers block I find value in practicing on new things I never thought I'd practice before. Those are the sessions that yield with the most "unexpected luck".

Hello hello, first of all, thank you so much for almiost 65k streams on Double mashed taters. This has been so humbling but also motivating. Going to try to stick to my roots and produce some more stuff that goes with that vibe. 

First track of 2024, been feeling a bit unmotivated lately due to the cold and depressing gray weather. 

Last years focus was starting and finishing a song in 1 day, this years focus will be the attention to detail. I want to be more mindful dialing in the mastering process and also utilizing all of the things I've learned last year. 

This song i've been working on most of January, finally feel like it's at a point to release. All of the songs I drop this year will end up being re-made by end of year just to compare progress and growth. Thanks so much for listening.

Goblin Soda

Was getting really discouraged in December because my creative mind was drawing blanks. Took the month off and had a quality reset, fresh eyes and fresh ears and ended up remembering why I enjoyed making music so much. 

This one is a bit trippy, and etheral. Just something to let the mind wander to on a nice back road drive.

CAROLINA DREAMIN

Lately my focus has been around modulation and basses. Been getting a lot more comfortable using Serum and just messing around with things until they sound half decent.

This has been my favorite song to make this far. Really enjoyed combining some RnB elements with edm, and UK garage. The goal for this year is to re-master my favorite 5 songs and make my first EP.

Little bit of glitch, a little bit of grungy. Violins for the vibes.

ATYCHIPHOBIA

Tribal Vibes, lots of foley with nature atmosphere and heavy on the percussions. This is by far the most complex song I've created when it comes to sound design and modulation. Really starting to dial in the high end with EQ'ing and distortion. This song was inspired by Clozee, Of The Trees, and Pretty Lights.

Been working on this track for quite some time. Really focused on utilizing synths more to create bass with cool modulations. This has been the most advanced track i've created so far and it's been so fun seeing the little wins and learning opportunities with each track.

I love Alan Watts, and I've been obsessed with Inzo's version of overthinker so I've decided to make my own version. This song was inspired by Vincent Antone's song called Everlasting

This song was inspired by Pretty Lights. Tried emphasizing some silky synths and vocal chips with funky old hip hop beat.
