Solaris returns to Parallax new-born sublabel PARADUBS with a limited lathe cut to give a little preview on what´s on the horizon for Parallax. Aurora flips a classic vocalhook into a summery rolling Amen tune, a tasty light tune that let´s you forget about those turublent times. The flip 'New Moon' is on a darker tip and lightens up 2/3rds into the tune with melancholic pads. Available in limited quantities on the Runout, be quick!

The first of many "Dubs From The Dungeons" releases on Limited Edition Gold Vinyl and WAV from various artists. These previously unreleased recordings only ever heard on dubplate, focus on the late 90's to the early 00's, the Golden age of Techstep and the Metalheadz "Blue Note" era.

Swarm - Dom & Roland (1997)

We've got a bumper Premiere today as we present the first Soundcloud clips of the brand new EP from Brakken for Tech Itch Recordings! Currently shrouded in mystery all we know about Brakken so far is that he is a old warrior of the scene operating under a new identity; doubtless time will reveal the artist's former aliases, but for now all we have is the beats.

Said beats are impressive indeed and fans of the dark-edged techstep sound will definitely find plenty to enjoy here; from the deep, rolling reese bass of 'Shadow Art' through the industrial-tinged halftime of 'In My Room', out into the 90s style 'headz-y vibes of 'Shaper Scratch' and finishing up with moody stepper 'Let Go', this is clearly the work of an artist with deep roots in the scene and plenty of ideas to explore. Sick stuff!

The 'Defiance One' EP is available to buy right now from the Tech Itch Recordings website where you can also find full previews of the EP via their new members area. Vinyl fans will also be pleased to know that the label are prepping a limited edition 12" run for the EP; head over to Bandcamp to pre-order that (expected to ship around August 1st).

Phoenix - Dom & Tech Itch

A futuristic roller from the “Bladerunner” Era. It perfectly captures the mood of the film. A big hitter at the Metalheadz sessions in the 90’s this was smashed by Doc Scott and Randall in many of their sets. Again featuring a reworked alternating clean and distorted "flow break" and big 808 bass this style of production pioneered the way for Dom’s later work. This turning point in Dom’s history is now finally mastered and seeing it’s release on vinyl 20 years later.

Tears In Rain - Dom & Roland

Third podcast of the series and this time it's curated by Mexican DJ and artist Ghost Hardware.

Now based in the UK and resident DJ for strong acts such as Incurzion or Immrsv, her defined technique and passionate selection among the decks made her the best candidate on taking over our Podcast series here at Parallel Depth.
