Domenico Crisci appeared via Jealous God, Opal Tapes, L.I.E.S. and his SUMMA CUM LAUDE, rising to prominence among purveyors of timeless techno. Jealous God cemented his reputation as a careful engineer of effective, hard, crafty dance floor cuts that comfortably sit next to early works of the genre’s pioneers. Domenico’s sets consist of an eclectic mix of acid, techno and electro with a non-conforming puristic approach.

Davide Rovito is a veteran of electronic scene since 1985. He developes his attitude with “Passaggi e Mutazioni” a multi medial performance focalized on the social meaning of art in the underground culture. After that he lives for two years in London where he plays and collaborates with “The Institute Of Goa". In '96 he released his first EP on Marco Carola's label "Design Music". From '96 to '98 he was the resident dj at “Livello 57”' in Bologna, where Davide became part of the techno-trio "Random/Noize" performing their live set and running two techno-oriented labels: “Informale” and “De Styl”. From 2000 to 2005 he has been part of the minimal techno project “Defrag Sound Processing”, that was also a label and an open system where to put differents realities associated by the same “noise” and “non conform” attitudes. Now is launching his own new label Tienmcateteng and a collaboration with other labels such as Antiterrarecords (Naples), Webuildmachines (Chicago) and GMR record.

Summa Cum Laude Mix 005 | Dez-Random/Noize

@dekeyden is no stranger to the underground scene, he’s a long standing musician passed true many aliases, performances and releases. Djing, producing and playing live for years, across different platforms, with a clean attitude, for pure underground Techno. This project sees the light at the end of 2019, making his debut on the iconic label Planet Rhythm, a 4 tracks Ep which attracts the attention of the scene. Followed by works for AWRY, Affekt Rec and EPM Music, that bring him to sign the first release for the relaunch of Molecular Recordings, after ten years of stop. His latest material has been published by Jeff Mills on his legendary Axis Records, for “The Escape Velocity”, a project focus on Sci-Fi aesthetic, that involved a restricted number of artists around the globe. Focus on a sinister, hypnotic and driving sound, his pieces can spanning from peak-time weapons, to deeper melancholic breakbeats and soundscapes. His tracks are constantly played by the most respected artists in the world, like Dave Clarke, DVS1, Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, James Ruskin and many more. Same attitude in his live performances, powerful sets with 4 decks, a blend of personal material and other artists tracks that leads to an intense journey, trough lots of unpredictable paths.

Summa Cum Laude Mix 006 | Dekeyden

Born and raised in the Italian coast of Rimini, Mondo Nudo’s musical foundations were laid in the Riviera club scene during the golden era of Cocoricò, Altromondo and Melody Mecca. Throughout these formative years, he absorbed influences from both the vibrant native scene and international influences from the US, UK and beyond, all the while nurturing his musical talent as a self-taught pianist and crafting his initial compositions.

During his 10+ years in London, he embarked on a strong collaboration with Giles Smith and James Priestley from Secretsundaze. Here he co-ran the renowned London party and record label, releasing music from artists such as Joe Claussell, Palms Trax, Carista, Fred P and Shanti Celeste as well as putting on parties in collaboration with international brands such as as Southbank Centre, Sónar, Berghain, NTS Radio, Saatchi Gallery.

Tapping into his diverse background and sensibility, Mondo Nudo’s dynamic DJ sets take in everything from soul to house, techno and draw from all eras of dance music’s rich history.

Summa Cum Laude Mix 007 | Mondo Nudo

Fadeface, is a distinguished DJ and Producer based in New York. Over the past decade, he hasmeticulously honed his craft in the modular techno domain. Drawing significant influence from the minimal techno movement of the early 2000s and 2010s. Fadeface’s sound is ablend of polyrhythmic textures and hypnotic soundscapes laying over a deeply groovytechno rhythm. Renowned for his compellingly groovy and multilayered sets, Fadeface has been celebrated at venues and parties such as Unter, Locked groove, Basement and the Timewarp music festival. Prior to his dive into underground electronic music, Fadeface’s educational journey began at New York’s electronic music production school, Dubspot. One of his more influential professors, Abe Duque, was pivotal in his adoption techno music and of modular synthesizers—a hallmark of his production and live sets to this day. Ten years later, Fadeface went on to establish his own vinyl label in 2020. The establishmentof his record label, Lemos, marked a significant evolution in his career. Initially a conduit for his own creations, the label has since expanded its focus to feature a curated selection of artists. These artists, much like Fadeface himself, are committed to pushing the boundaries of techno with their timeless and innovative music. Lemos is a reflection of Fadeface’s ambition to redefine techno music, fostering a space for artists who share his passion for a fresh, yet classic, approach to the genre. Fadeface, continues to make his mark on the techno scene, inter twining his innovative musical vision with the operation of his record label, Lemos. His journey reflects a remarkableblend of artistic flexibility, forward-thinking, and impactful contributions to the ongoing evolution of the club music ecosystem.

Summa Cum Laude Mix 008 | Fadeface

After releasing records on L.I.E.S. and its offspring Russian Torrent Versions labels, Caserta (close to Neaples, Italy) native Domenico Crisci quickly rose to prominence among purveyors of timeless Techno. 
A third record on Eerie cemented his reputation as a careful engineer of effective, crafty dance floor cuts that comfortably sit next to early works of the genre’s pioneers. 
August of 2016 sees Domenico’s sonic determination surprisingly rematerializing on Silent Servant, Regis and James Ruskin’s Jealous God label with a new, strong EP crowning the distinct quality of this limited series. 
Through such particular path Domenico got inspiration to start his own “SUMMA CUM LAUDE” label project, where his most forward thinking works and brand new, surprising talents will have the first chance to get properly published. Domenico himself is inaugurating the label by “The Violinist” EP, including 3 peak-time techno tracks anticipating the strongest emotive intensities, carefully finalized by the valuable experience of a mastering engineer like Matt Colton. 
To visualize Domenico’s particular, straightforward sound, we’ll find the kind intervention of the Neapolitan artist Mariangela Levita.

SUMMA CUM LAUDE is pleased to announce the new release from cult Seattle based underground techno producer Collin Strange - Acid Non Musica. Collin Strange has a long and storied history in the New York City underground music scene of the nineties. From owning a record shop in the East Village, to working at the largest Record distributors, Dj'ing anywhere from the dirtiest lower east side squats to the famed Limelight, from playing in hardcore punk and noise bands, to producing music alone, Strange was around at one of the most vibrant (and transitional) times in New York history. 
Following on the success of his highly regarded releases for L.I.E.S., Strange delivers four tracks unrelenting industrial acid. Creepy and unnerving, the tracks are built on a simple formula of pummeling 909 kicks, distorted 303's, and walls of noise. Grim, cold, hopeless acid with no funk, no soul, just pure unchecked aggression for only the hardest dj's. Drawing upon equal parts 80's industrial noise, 90's hard acid techno, and contemporary hardcore punk, Strange's latest release Acid Non Musica makes the current crop of 'dark' techno artists look pale in comparison.
