Music, heard at the right moment, in some way resembles a river weaving its own path, inexorably sweeping everything and everyone along with it, exercising a primordial force difficult to escape. The Weisse Elster, the river that makes its way through the big city of Leipzig, embodies a counterpart to the small Steinlach, which flows quietly and calmly through the little student town of Tübingen (the birthplace of the label of the same name), giving this community its unique charm. After Wice moved to Leipzig, the obvious route to take was to create a Steinlach sublabel that would capture the flair of the big city, yet at the same time remain true to the nature of the flowing water - whilst taking into account crucial parameters that define a big city and that render it so lovable in its very own way.

The first release on the freshly founded Label Weisse Elster features five techno tracks that do justice to PAs and dance floors of a subcultural and diverse city. Purpose-built as they are, they skillfully elude the common sense as well as any trend by adding a fresh, inspired touch. Inevitably and with great focus the music overcomes the distance between the speaker and the dancer. This accomplishment is made possible by Wice’s timeless and inescapable groove patterns that in different ways underpin every track on the EP. The five tracks incorporate varied aspects of a club night and can be seamlessly woven into the flows of any DJ. The goal here is to be ’expectedly-unexpected’ or ‘unexpectedly-expected’, to captivate the dancers, to gradually and naturally challenge their ears as well as their understanding of groove in a charming way, but without appearing pretentious. Long story short: Take a listen, Don't skip, and Enjoy.

UNER’s label Solar Distance presents Dominante who is a talented artist making his debut release with this EP.

Having no previous releases little is known about Dominante, but letting his music do the talking it’s clear he has a raw talent with big future ahead of him.

Solar Distance prior to this EP has featured music from a variety of artists including SIS, Petar Dundov, Alex Kennon, Fideles, Monkey Safari and Mark Alow along with UNER himself.

Always expanding its family, Dominante is the latest member to be welcomed into the Solar Distance fold, and his four track debut EP is a blend of jackin' grooves and uplifting melodies.

“I Wanna Get Down” takes its title from the vocal sample and has a distinctive groove rich with clap rhythms and the sensual chords of a fender rhodes layered over busy percussion.

“Akasha” is the track most in the melodic style often associated with UNER. Its eloquent synths and light textures are enough to elate a dance floor and lift the room with its building euphoria.

“Let Me” has a jazzy feel and soulful vibe with a mood that can only be described as cosmic funk. Brash and in your face, this summery track is brimming with personality and is a great party starter.

“Question” is all about the chord stabs and the energy they bring to the track. Somehow reminiscent to the Detroit classic “Strings Of Life” but in no way similar, this is perhaps the go to track on the EP.

The newly found record label Midnight Snacks combines the passion for electronic dance music and the rapture to transcend genre boundaries. In addition to serving musical bites, the Berlin snack crew has a high aesthetic and visual aspiration – and realizes its artistic visions in collaboration with illustrator Hans Berger.


Known for his versatile outcome over the past couple of years, Ulrich Harrison aka Tender Games has truly made himself a name in modern dance music. With “Movin’”, the German-Jamaican artist ignites a new wave of records that will be released through his new home Midnight Snacks. More disco, more funk, more Tender Snacks.

Remix duties come from Italian Deep House darling Riccardo aka Black Loops and close friend and old band member Marlon Hoffstadt. The original is out on June 28th, with the Remixes following July 26th.

The Berlin-based Wilde Renate regular and Savour the Moment resident has been cutting out a name for himself with exquisite selections of italo, disco, and house and holds his appropriately named Guilty Pleasures parties at the renowned Paloma Bar.
The inspiration for this mix came from a recent Berlin-style Sunday morning marathon DJ session, first playing a 5hr closing set at Wilde Renate, before heading straight to Else for warm-up duties. Philipp took some of his favorite tracks played during these two totally different atmospheres and weaved them together into an exuberant mix jam-packed with synths, vocoders, and 808’s.

Dominante is an eclectic, promising and emblematic electronic artist based in Berlin.

Born in Southern Spain, this DJ/Producer has been involved in the electronic music scene over the past 15 years, since he bought his first pair of vinyl desks at age 14. By age 17 he was already producing his first tunes. After a decade of self-taught sound design and a few years of harmony’s studies, his current productions show the great potential of this young electronic artist. 

For the last 10 years he has primarily been involved in the Drum&Bass music under the name of Impak. The strength of his potential can be measured by his relevance in the D&B scene. In Spain, he became one of the most relevant Dj/Producers of this genre while most of his depurated productions were commonly heard at most of the D&B parties, regularly appearing in top positions of Beatport charts. His name headlined parties across the country, ending up being resident DJ of the legendary club Industrial Copera in Granada. Internationally, Impak is a renowned name who has released his productions in major labels like Cause4Concern, supported by the most relevant artists like Optiv,Btk or Prolix and toured all over Europe in several occasions. 

All this experience is reflected in his new stellar techno and house productions under the new aka Dominante. The main concept behind Dominante is to get dancing and intellect together in the dancefloor, seeking to mix quality, harmony, melody and textures with a delicate setting. Jazz, soul, funk, house, techno and disco to name a few styles, are his reference of choice when he begins the composition of a new track.

His new path, already mature and characterized by a new way of understanding musicality and elegance, has already drawn the attention of relevant DJ/Producers of the electronic music scene, like Uner’s owned label Solar Distance, where he has released his first EP “Let Me”. 

Dominante has come to bring a new way to see dance music. Keep his name in mind, because Dominante is here to stay.
