Ravers 4 Raemers is the second release from Brighton-based Bad Era Records. The label’s first compilation features a wealth of artists who have contributed their music to raise funds for The Ben Raemers Foundation, an organisation set up in 2019 to maintain the legacy of professional skateboarder, Ben Raemers, who sadly took his own life. The aim of the Foundation is to prevent further loss to suicide, especially in the skateboarding community. With the release of this compilation, Bad Era aim to promote the Foundation’s mission within the electronic music community.


The selection of tracks are a mixture of different electronic sounds, covering a range of moods. The release is cap-ended by two introspective works from Tech Support and Ulex. Also on this ticket is the equally pensive, acid-flecked track ‘Liquizole’ by Sumorai. On a heavier note there is the breaks-heavy acid track ‘Rave Glitch’ by Type-303 followed by the equally distorted ‘Anxious’ by SDXN. Acid is a recurring theme throughout the record with additional tracks from Acid Avian and Isaac Reuben. Other genres featured include the Electro track ‘Smokin’ Sherm’ by Lossk and a powerful Trance number from Property. Jamie Unknown provides dark Techno beat ‘Inhale, Exhale’ and Zaltsman and Kalli round off the roster with two of the more interesting tracks on the release, driven by percussion and moving synths.
