These first two singles take us into the story’s first act, where Murray begins to face her gender dysphoria at the start of the pandemic. 'dysphoria sunshine' is haze-like, a representation of Murray searching for answers, grappling with her true self, while 'the girl in the mirror' begins to reveal a glimmer of light, and with it, some hope she’ll find what she’s looking for.
