Spent about two hours in the practice room with the Jason Serious Band. Tried out "Ain't No Grave" and sorta nailed it the first take. Can't wait to actually record this track in the studio to give it proper quality.

CLUAS - X-MAS MEDLEY

Having started off with mainly Irish Folk and after numerous gigs on stages in all different sorts of venues since 2007, CLUAS managed to expand his repertoire of different songs and genres by a lot. 
The five demo tracks are traditional Irish songs as he still, after all, goes by "CLUAS - Irish Folk & more". 

His first EP "Outta Here" was recorded and produced by Kevin Fellows of "Truax Records", who previously also had recorded the demo EP and is now based in Belgium. It features songs of various genres, including the track "Outta Here" which is the namesake of this EP and CLUAS' first ever original song. It is the result of a deep winter depression brought up by wanderlust and it sounds like a typical Indie Rock number. Just like another significant title on this EP which has an even harder and more dirty sound to it. "Asatrip" is also an original, created in Belgium by both CLUAS and Kevin Fellows. The "Outta Here" EP was released in the summer of 2013, immediately sold pretty well and was ordered to be delivered to countries all around the world. 

However, not being able to let go of the strong influences that once got him started, CLUAS decided to focus more on Irish Folk and less Rock loaded acoustic tunes again, but soon adding a fairly big selection of Country, Blues, Sea Shanties and also more and more serious Dark Country tracks, mostly inspired by certain Netflix series about motorcycle clubs, zombie apocalypses, new-age westerns and end-time scenarios. 
It is this special sort of music that lets you experience the feeling of living the life as a member of an Outlaw 1%er MC..., music that makes you understand the lonesome cowboy on a horse, seeking revenge for the murder of a loved one..., music that makes you think you speak fluent Southern States Hillbilly and gives you the pure comfort of a trailerpark community..., music that gives you the ability to smell the swamps of Louisiana and you just can't help falling in love with that twangy sound of a nearby banjo... 

It's artists like Ben Howard, Jamey Johnson, Townes van Zandt, The Devil Makes Three, Jamie N Commons, Vudu Sister, Kurt Vile and Tyler Childers, only to mention a few, that help CLUAS handle the struggles of everyday life. Whether it's a small moment of anxiety or a full grown depression, the influences of said artists and still being deeply connected to the Irish culture, the ancient Celtic and even old  Norse ways also have a huge mental healing effect and are cleary recognizable in the otherwise so unique CLUAS style which of course is very prominent on the new album that is currently in the making, being recorded at the "Little Cabin Studio" in Olching, Bavaria by the most professional and music understanding producer Flo "Die Feder" Streitwieser,  who also has been joining CLUAS on stage on various occasions over the entire year of 2022, adding a certain kind of vibe with his beautiful wooden stand up bass, giving the performance a full and solid underlayer, gently supporting the sound of the acoustic guitar and the singer's smokey voice. The self-proclaimed "Kontrabassistent" is a true blessing to any CLUAS gig. 
It is really exciting! What can we expect from this very promising new album and when is the release date? 
To answer that question, just be a little patient and in the meantime watch this space very closely and make sure to have a pre-listening to "Young Ned Of The Hill" on here and get yourselves an idea of what sounds will soon be coming for your ears... every play counts!
