For this episode and for the followings, I wanted to give the floor to some artists I admire and respect a lot. I believe everyone has ideas, a voice, opinions they want to fight for. I believe we can aspire for a better future world through music. Today, I have invited @inesisladj to record a Mixing for a Cause podcast.

MFC 26 : Ines Isla - Finding our true form

Ines Isla is becoming a popular name in the Spanish capital city of Madrid. Sharing the stage with world renown artists such as Milo Spykers, OTTA, Cassie Raptor, Anfisa Letyago, among others; Ines and her powerful, energetic sets leave no one indifferent. This has allowed her to play across several of the best clubs in Madrid, including Fabrik, Goya Social Club, Cafe Berlin, and La Riviera. Currently, she is one of Faraday Music’s Resident, closing of the nights with a cherry.
 
Being heavily influenced by old school vocals, acid synths and trance melodies, Ines Isla has refined her style to create a unique atmosphere of constant energy and power, felt and transmitted to the ravers.


For this mix, she wanted to talk about finding your true self and how hard it can sometimes be to be yourself in a world where not everyone can be open-minded to difference. 

Ines: “Why is it so hard to come out of the closet? It is an issue that disturbs me, since the people who belong to the collective are exactly the same as heterosexual people, however, we have to undergo the process of telling our family, our friends, and surroundings. I believe that in the world we live in and in the future, this should not happen. Children should have an inclusive education in which they feel safe to tell who they love, not having a bad time with themselves or with others, normalising the situation. 

This is about putting yourself in the shoes of others, and not thinking like a heterosexual person, but thinking about what would happen if you had to go through that process or if someone you love had a bad experience undergoing those events.

I have chosen this cause because there are many people who are still repressed or who have been trapped for many years in a person they don’t recognise. I believe future generations will prevent this from happening.”

E-Perplex, 24 year old DJ from Hanau, Germany. E-Perplex began his musical career early on. He is a co-founder of the Licht im Wasser event in Offenbach and received his first residency at the age of 18 in the renowned Offenbach club MTW.
