Stärker als je zuvor und musikalisch breiter aufgestellt, als man es bislang kannte. Den Anfang macht Marcel Stroedter, der schon seit dem ersten Release auf MZZ verwurzelt ist. Zusammen mit seinem Studiopartner Dominik Schwarz präsentierte er unter dem Pseudonym Schwarz & Weisz bereits einige Kracher auf dem Label.

„Chapter II“ läutet damit das neue Kapitel ein und das auf imposante Weise: Puristischer Techno trifft auf Rhythmus und Groove. Der passende Remix kommt von Dominik Schwarz, der sich als Mitbegründer von Mittel Zum Zweck ganz besonders auf eine strahlende Zukunft des Labels freut.

After 30 releases both digitally and on vinyl and after three years of creative pause, the German label Mittel Zum Zweck returns. Stronger than ever before and musically broadly arranged. The beginning is made by Marcel Stroedter, who has been rooted in MZZ since the first release. Together with his studio partner Dominik Schwarz, he already presented quiet a number of hits on the label under the pseudonym Schwarz & Weisz.“Chapter II” enters the new chapter in an imposing way: Puristic Techno meets rhythm and groove. The matching remix comes from Dominik Schwarz, who as a co-founder of Mittel Zum Zweck, is really looking forward to having a bright future with the label.

Die Wiederbelebung des Labels Mittel Zum Zweck ist auch nach Marcel Stroedters „Chapter II“ noch nicht abgeschlossen. Nun nimmt sich Label-Kopf Dominik Schwarz dem Thema Wiedergeburt an und liefert uns ein cooles Package zweier wirklich puristischer Techno-Stomper mit innovativen Sounds.

Allen voran „Rebirth“, der sich mit druckvollen Beats und ravigen Synths durchaus an die Spitze der hauseigenen Lieblingstracks spielen könnte. Wer Dominik Schwarz kennt, der weiß um seine Liebe zu verzerrten 303-Sounds und so landet auch auf dieser EP ein Acid-Track auf der B-Seite. Dieser trägt den passenden Titel „Trauma“ und beweist abermals den vielfältigen Weg, den Mittel Zum Zweck schon immer gegangen ist und auch in Zukunft weiterhin einschlagen wird.

Even after Marcel Stroedter’s “Chapter II”, the revival of the label Mittel Zum Zweck is still not yet concluded. Now label head Dominik Schwarz takes over the theme of rebirth and delivers a cool package of two really purist Techno stompers with innovative sounds.Above all “Rebirth”, which would be able to play to the top of MZZ’s own favorite tracks with his powerful beats and rave synths. If you know Dominik Schwarz, you are also aware of his love for distorted 303 sounds and so here comes another acid track on the B-side. This one carries the appropriate title “Trauma” and proves the diverse way, Mittel Zum Zweck always has gone and will continue also in the future.

Zum zweiten Mal nach dem Relaunch des Labels Mittel Zum Zweck darf Label-Chef Dominik Schwarz höchstpersönlich zwei kräftige Techno-Tunes auf die Piste schicken. Sein Sound ist dabei konsequent wie eh und je und verspricht Techno nach dem aktuellen state of the art.

„System“ drückt sich konstant und ohne viel Schnickschnack durch die Boxen. Mit einer Prise Acid gewürzt, steigt dieser Track zu einem der besten der Label-Historie empor. Und auch Track Nummer Zwei mit dem Titel „No Tech“ braucht sich nicht verstecken! Zwar ist dieser etwas zurückhaltender im Tempo und Brachialität, doch lauert mit einer starken Portion Groove auf den Hörer.

For the second time after the relaunch of the label Mittel Zum Zweck, label boss Dominik Schwarz himself has been able to send two powerful Techno tunes on the road. His sound is as consistent as ever and promises Techno according to the current state of the art.“System” expresses itself constantly and pushes through the speakers without much frills. Spiced up with a pinch of Acid, this track rises to one of the best in the label history. And track number two with the title “No Tech” does not have to hide either! Although it is a bit more restrained in pace and heaviness, it is lurking with a strong dose of groove.
