Returning to Meanwhile with a full debut EP, Zankee Gulati continues his journey as a rising progressive house talent with the “Mind Opener / Magnetic Island” EP. A single remix comes from Argentinean duo, Analog Jungs.

A recognised force in his Sydney hometown, Zankee Gulati has continued to see his star shine increasingly bright within the underground dance firmament. An artist and promoter renowned for his spellbinding sets across Sydney’s clubs and for bringing the likes of Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Ben Bohmer to New South Wales, the Australian’s performance in the studio has only cemented a rapidly growing reputation. A mounting catalogue of sumptuous offerings has increasingly featured on the likes of Sudbeat Music, The Soundgarden and Balance Music, plus a standout contribution to John Digweed’s “Futuro” compilation on Bedrock, with “Low Tide” in collaboration with fellow countryman, Jamie Stevens. Two appearances on GMJ & Matter’s imprints in December 2022 saw “The Magic Spoon” feature on “Beyond The Horizon, Vol. 2”, while “HereAfter” found its way onto the flagship label’s, “Meanwhile Excursions, Vol. 3” in July 2023.

Now hitting the heights once more, the light and airy tones of “Mind Opener” reveal themselves over a strong kick and ticking percussive top-line. Rippling arps and a strong motif keep the energy high as analogue edge gradually develops within the latter with an open filter creates a range of harmonic frequencies that shine over a beatless breakdown. Dropping back into the hefty rhythmic groove, the track then draws to its meticulously sculpted conclusion. “Magnetic Island” is a deep, chugging powerhouse. Full of rhythmic prowess and building elegantly through thumping kick and shaker-driven groove, a beautiful melodic passage develops within a hypnotic arp that filters to a powerful denouement in the final stages. The strong rhythmic narrative of its predecessor then finds its place once more in the final stages.

A single remix comes from Argentinean duo, Analog Jungs, who first came to Meanwhile prominence on their 3-track “Surrender” EP in March 2022. Already regulars on blue-chip labels that include Mango Alley, Hope Recordings and Manual Music, the Córdoba-based pair excel once more with a chunky interpretation that creates a trademark rhythmic foundation and driving bassline groove. Adding tropes from Zankee Gulati’s original, they turn “Mind Opener” into an exciting and dynamic new track that is redolent in additional production material and melodic invention. The result is a powerful remix that is an exceptional addition to the EP.

Clubsonica opens the month of November by welcoming ELECGROUND to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Russia and made up of Sergey Silvertone, Eugene Amadeus and Andrey Uchvat, ELECGROUND first emerged in 2022 with an EP via Beatfreak's Limited division. Releases via Digital Emotions, Future Avenue, La Foresta, and Magnitude, amongst others would follow across the next two calendar years, making the trio a rising force in Russia's electronic underground. Now, following a summer EP for AH Digital, ELECGROUND continues on an upwards trajectory, adding Clubsonica to their resume with ‘Intergalactic Monster | Humanity', alongside remixes from Juan Deminicis and Pablo Arbelaez.

Beginning with the fluid sounds of ‘Humanity', ELECGROUND aims squarely for the dancefloor with great success. A smooth DJ friendly intro sets the pace for swing heavy basslines, delicate arps and precise percussive arrangements to create an energetic first act. A series of emotive chord changes and youthful vocal elements carve out a rejuvenating path into the break, bringing with them a sense of hopeful anticipation. Spoken word vocals build intrigue across the interlude, all while maintaining a strong melodic quality, before a smooth build pushes onwards to a finale that is equal parts nostalgic and emotive. The equally impressive 'Intergalactic Monster' serves as the companion piece and complements its predecessor very well. Geared more towards groovier dancefloor moments, ELECGROUND's tried and tested production chops serve them well here, bursting with colourful qualities and a keen sense of rhythm and groove. A haunting lead theme conjures up bucolic imagery leading into the break, bringing with it a serene state of mind, as granular effects eventually reveal a vortex of noise, before getting washed away in a powerful finale complete with delicate chord stabs and growling synth mutations.

Returning to the label with the lone interpretation of ‘Humanity' is Pablo Arbelaez. With a sound that incorporates elements from deep, tech and progressive house, the Armenia resident first emerged in 2019 on the strength of early tracks ‘The Crowd' and ‘Galaxia'. The next five calendar years would see Pablo choose his projects wisely, adding BCSA, Sun Theory, and Transensations to his discography. Now, making a welcome return to the label for his first remix, Pablo delivers an enchanting take on ‘Humanity'. Landing with a resounding thump, Pablo finds success with a robust, dancefloor minded approach. Warm kick drums and shapely grooves marry beautifully with flickering percussion and mysterious vocal elements. Tasteful piano stabs create an enduring main theme leading into the break, ultimately highlighting the journey, flowing through emotive musical progression for equal amounts of exhilaration and serenity.

The release concludes with Juan Deminicis with the lone interpretation of ‘Intergalactic Monster'. Long a favourite of progressive music's top tastemakers, the Argentinean artist has released on the genre's finest imprints, with Cid Inc's Replug Records, Guy J's Lost & Found and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music all being regular homes for the talented Argentine. Also, no stranger to Clubsonica, the Buenos Aires resident has released four original productions and two remixes since making his label debut in 2017. Now, as 2024 reaches its final quarter, Juan returns to Clubsonica with a groovy rendition of 'Intergalactic Monster'. Bringing a contemporary club-effective state of mind, Juan reassembles the themes from the original for his own unique and dubbed out approach. Timely effects and shapeshifting overlays co-ax perfectly atop precise kick drums and chugging grooves, for what results in a tasteful and groove-centric rendition to round out the release in style.

Joining hands with Not by Rituals Records, Comet Premieres is excited to present their debut release, the Inefable EP by the incredibly talented Argentinian organic house producer Brian David. This stunning EP features an exceptional remix from Kazko that you won’t want to miss!

Born in May 1990, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Brian David Influenced by bands like Depeche Mode, Radiohead and DJs/Producers from the electronic scene like Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Lee Burridge among other talents that marked his style. His sound is a combination of elements of house, deep and organic music, it has been well received by the public and critics. His sets are known for their energy and ability to get the crowd dancing. 

Making an impact on major labels on the scene such as The Purr, Stellar Fountain, Anoka, Where The Shadow Ends, Keyfound, among others. The sound he achieves, strident, surrounded by melodies that add subtlety to his mixes, managed to grab the attention of great references such as Fernando Ferreyra, Weird sounding dude, miraculum, Mauro Masi, Plecta, Julian liander. 

Likewise, in his dealings he shared a booth with artists such as Andrea Cassino, Nicolas Rada, Paula Os, Mauro masi, Valdovinos among others. With a constant commitment to improve and learn, Brian continues to work on his music and refine his technique, always searching for new sounds and forms of expression. Kazko, born in Colombo,Sri Lanka, has established himself as a significant force in the world of Progressive House, Melodic Techno, and Organic House.  Having moved to Australia, Kazko has continued to evolve his sound and broaden his influence in the music scene. Inspired by the legendary sounds of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, John Digweed, Sasha, and Guy J, Kazko's music is a blend of emotive melodies and driving rhythms that captivate listeners and ignite dance floors. 

His productions have garnered support from top-tier artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Richie Hawtin, John Cosani, Mariano Mellino,and many others. Kazko's discography includes releases on prestigious labels such as The Soundgarden / Juicebox / Mango Alley / Enormous Tunes (Enormous Moments) / Onedotsixtwo / Songuara / Amulanga Records / Digital Emotions / and Clubsonica .

Following on from his Anjunadeep Explorations debut last summer, emerging German DJ/producer Ben Böhmer returns to the label for his first solo outing with a trio of melodic weapons on ‘Morning Falls EP’.
