Radikal Technologies Accelerator

So... I thought I could record some fun little sequences to show off what the Accelerator can do. Sadly I realized only after recording a bunch of stuff that I only recorded a mono channel from my soundcard. That kind of explains, why stuff always sounded quite a bit better while playing than during playback...

Anyway, I think some of the stuff was quite fun, so enjoy!

Everything recorded straight from the Accelerator to my PC. All but two takes was mono anyway (sorry), so I rendered everything to mono to at least be consistent. I only applied normalizing and some fade-in/-out for some parts.

Everything is sequenced and/or arpeggiated  from the Accelerator (except for the rare live playing...). So what you hear is all straight Accelerator.

Everything is recorded directly from the output of the Accelerator. All sequencing / arps are also driven by the accelerator.

After that I just cut some bad/boring stuff...

Not sure the demo "tunes" really work, but there is some fun stuff in there (I think).

Just a quick noodling through some patches I've made in the past month with my new Accelerator. 

Recorded in FL Studio via a Roland Quad Capture with zero expertise and a bit of compression. All FX are internal to the Accelerator.

Accelerator Demo Mix

Pure Accelerator sound without external FXs. I improvised over some of the FX sound chain of the factory presets I created for that synth. I recorded that in one go - the voice remain feature allows for selecting and adding new sounds while holding down some notes of the former performance. Not even the FXs get interrupted. I recorded the demo with the basic 8 voice version.

The first performance runs the programmable polyphonic Arpeggiator and the second a sweet pad sound.

Three sounds: A string filter plucked string emulation, a string filter flute emulation and a phasing pad for the background. All recorded without external FXs.

Just listen to the bizarre Delay Feedback FXs in the second third of the demo. After doing some experiments with this astonishing delay we decided to add the string filter to the sound engine. The string filter is mainly a delay - but with two damping filters. But as a second result, the delay can be tuned in halftones.

I've been wanting to record a demo of the Accelerator synthesizer by Radikal Technologies for a while. I love this machine, especially for pad and ambient sounds. All the synth sounds are from the Accelerator (9 parts total. Eight recorded at once and then one more pass for the last one). Accelerator's Floating Pads

A quick run through some sequences.
All Sequences start with the Spectalis and the Accelerator playing, then the Speci is faded out and faded back in after a while. No external effects are used, the sequences are driven by the Spectralis sequencer and the mixer output is recorded directly and in one take.
Ignore the music enjoy the sound of this great instruments...

Acc+Speci Demo

Wanted to do this since roughly 1.5 years...:

Quick run through the first 30 performance presets.

No external processing (well, I normalized), recorded in three big chunks, 10 sounds each.
No editing, just simple playing (mostly stupid pentatonic stuff with terrible timing:-).

The Accelerator is a really fun synth, which is not really that well known...
Hope this helps a bit.

Demo recorded directly, no quantization, click (for me), etc. so timing is a mess...
I just stepped through the programs and recorded random stuff.
Cut out probably 10% that where a real bad/boring and some intervals of silence...
Just to keep it simple everything was played live, so no sequencing/arpeggios etc.

The Important stuff:

- Synth Demo for the Radical Technologies Accelerator.

- All the presets are my own (well a hand full is probably created by randomizing and a bit of tweaking).

- There are NO EFFECTS used in this recording (not internal, not external, not DAW...none) . 

- Stuff that sounds like distortion is probably FM, Chorus like sounds could be comb filter or linear oscillator detune.

- no unison, no layering. Just  single programs.
