Their love was a fire, intense and quite wild,
Two souls utterly captivated, utterly beguiled.
They lived for the moment, a dazzling, fierce pace,
No caution or reason could enter their space.
They broke every custom, and ignored every rule,
Viewing the wise counsel as something quite cruel.
Their actions were daring, their secrets were deep,
A promise of passion they vowed they would keep.
And the town often whispered, with faces quite cross,
About limits they'd challenge, as if there were any line they would not cross.
For their hearts were united, in risk and in loss,
Valuing nothing above their joint cause.


As If there were any line they would not cross

Beneath dark skies and broken hearts, the silence glows with the warmth of something almost remembered. Shadows move like whispers across glass and gold, tracing the outline of devotion twisted by time. Each breath feels distant yet close at the same time, trembling on the edge of surrender. In that space between pain and reverence, love becomes its own echo: strange, infinite, and beautifully undone.

Cacao Records is pleased to announce the return of the podcast series "Cacao Dopecast". Each month we will upload a podcast, so stay tuned to find out who will be our next guest.

For this month, we have the uprising duo talent "Sparrow & Barbossa". Sparrow & Barbossa is a dj and producer duo formed by the Swiss Bryan Coletta and the Uruguayan Emiliano Haberli. 

Bryan is a pianist and comes from a musical family, his father is the legendary guitarist Francis Coletta who worked with artists like Whitney Houston, Quincy Jones or Frank Sinatra among others. Since very young he’s been influenced by soul, jazz and funk until he took it to the plates with remixes like Fictionalise from Cubicolor with his strong capacity of improvisation and versatility. 

Emiliano was born and raised in a region of Uruguay dominated by African colonials and got widely influenced by what’s called “The Culture Of Candombe”, pure african tribal rhythm coming from the colonialism. Very young he moved to Europe where he connected with the music there, starting to give a form to his style in the electronic music world with Chus & Ceballos and Joesky (USA). Together they form Sparrow & Barbossa, producing a fusion between organic and more electronic progressive sounds. 

The age difference between the two make they’re sets and productions sound unique. While Bryan brings the freshness of modern sounds and melodies, Emiliano fine tunes the rhythmic part. Globe-trotters, they’re true lovers of ethnies and lost cultures, devoted to transmit this legacy through electronic music.

Releases were on Babiczstyle, Modern Agenda, Or Two Strangers, Manual Music, MNL, Cinematique, Kamarad Meyer Musik, Variety Music, White Label Recordings and many more, and they were supported by Hernan Cattaneo, Eelke Kleijn, Jamie Stevens, Gai Barone and others.
They have worked together with artists like Robert Babicz, Tim Engelhardt, Kamilo Sanclemente, Golan Zocher, Boss Axis, Mr.MNT, Dustin Nantais, Danny Lloyd, East Cafe, Mario Hammer and Juliane Wolf.

With the now second year of the MelodicLab Show they keep on sharing their music to a growing audience, so tune in and enjoy!
