A partir de las movilizaciones de Black Lives Matter en Estados Unidos se dio a conocer uno de los movimientos más incisivos de lucha contra el securitismo policial. Defund de police es una amplia propuesta que pone en el centro el problema de la seguridad como un asunto comunitario, de cuidado e interdependencia de la vida como una formulación opuesta a la policía.

Con propuestas que van desde quitarle poder, disolver y hasta abolir la policía, este movimiento se ha convertido en una de las propuestas más interesantes para eliminar el control policial sobre los amplios espectros sociales sobre los que a día de hoy actúa.

Esta sesión pretende repasar esta propuesta política surgida en Estados Unidos para abrir el debate en contextos como el español y europeo.
