Talking also about his Motown /US influences while composing...without knowing to play any instrument !

George Michael and I had been friends for the last 13 years of his too short life. We had many long and extremely well-informed conversations about a plethora of subjects over the years but the one thing we always came back to was music. We had freakily similar tastes. 

In May 2007 I interviewed Yog in his Highgate home, ostensibly for Gay Times magazine. This is a small excerpt, focusing on his feelings when performing at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert with a sick partner in attendance, and his thoughts on Bowie in the 70s plus Queen's duet with Bowie, Under Pressure.
