L'association Marée BASS est heureux de vous présenter la Compilation # 4 avec que des exclusivités venant du Turtle Crew &amp; quelques invités en surprise.

20 producteurs de l'Europe entière dont une majorité en France mais en passant aussi par l'Italie, la Pologne ou encore la Hongrie, ce sont donc mobilisés pour nous offrir une compilation dub et éclectique.
Roots, UK Dub, Dubstep, Stepper, Dub Electro sont au rendez-vous pour vous accompagner tout l'été sur vos routes.

Il s'agit aussi de regrouper les artistes qui ont contribué à la vie de l'association depuis ses débuts à aujourd'hui.
Cette édition est téléchargeable sous forme de donation via notre plateforme bandcamp. Notre objectif étant de sortir la Compilation # 5 en 2016 au format vinyl, pour le plaisir de l'objet, les amoureux des galettes et fêter comme il se doit nos cinq ans.

The Marée BASS association is pleased to present the Compilation # 4 with exclusives from the Turtle Crew &amp; a few surprise guests.

20 producers from all over Europe including a majority in France but also through Italy, Poland or Hungary, it therefore mobilized to offer us a dub and eclectic compilation.
Roots, Stepper, UK Dub, Dubstep, Dub Electro are to accompany you throughout the summer on your roads.

It's also to group artists who have contributed to the life of the association from its beginnings to today.
This edition is downloadable in the form of donation via our platform bandcamp. Our aim being to exit Compilation # 5 in 2016 in vinyl record, for the pleasure of the object, lovers of vinyls and celebrate like it should be our five years.

A truly unique and inspired collaboration from Alpha Steppa's Steppas Records, beautifully mastered and pressed to heavyweight 180g vinyl. Aketi Ray are an all-acoustic dub-jazz group from London; double bass, drums, upright piano, horns and percussion, playing original compositions grounded in the instrumental music forms of post-independence Jamaica, also drawing from Ethiopian and US jazz, West African percussion traditions, and UK Steppas. London to Kingston, to New York, to Addis Ababa, to Dakar.

This first release, comes ahead of their debut album 'From Ever Since', forthcoming on F-Ire Records in early 2017. The tracks featured here are deeply influenced by the music of Alpha & Omega. Mirror is a piece directly influenced by the classic Alpha & Omega track 'Show Me A Purpose'; a piece which explores the difficulty of coming to know oneself. Completing the circle of inspiration, Mirror is released here alongside a deep & spiritual remix from UK-dub pioneers Alpha & Omega. Aketi Ray’s Mikus says “Alpha & Omega have been a foundational influence on our sound, so it is both privilege and honour to share our debut pressing with them.” The second track 'Reflect & Rise' continues in the same key as Mirror, but moves on from a reflective mood into one that’s focussed and resolute, as encapsulated by the rallying horn arrangements of Kevin Robinson.

Originaire de Bretagne, Don Alduck grandit en Normandie où il découvre le reggae et le hip hop. Après diverses expériences musicales dans des groupes de rap et de ska/rock, c’est en 2008 qu’il commence sous le nom de Don Alduck et sort des albums aux influences variées qu’il jouera en Normandie et en Belgique en 2010.
Après une longue pause musicale et deux ans passés à sillonner les routes en Inde, il revient en France en 2015 et reprend la production de sons oscillants entre Dub, Hip Hop et Bass Music avec des influences indiennes affirmées. Il revient sur scène à l’été 2017 pour deux dates en festival et sound system. Ces sets live ont permis de tester les premières ébauches de l’EP.

Du Dub, mais pas seulement: "Outbound journey" nous fait traverser les frontières musicales en nous faisant voyager entre Electro, Bass Music, Hip Hop, Drum & Bass ou encore Trance, le tout rythmé par des sonorités indiennes traditionnelles.

Coming from Brittany, Don Alduck grew up in Normandy, where he discovered hip hop and reggae music. After different musical experiences between rap and ska/rock, he started in 2008 to compose as Don Alduck and produced albums with various influences which have been played live in 2010 in Normandy and Belgium.
After a long break and two years spent travelling across India, he comes back to France in 2015 and restarts producing Dub, Hip Hop and Bass Music with indian influences. He comes back on stage in 2017 for live gigs in festival and sound system. The first drafts of his new tracks have been tested during those live sets in a Future Dub, Hip Hop and Bass Music styles.

This is Dub, but not only : "Outbound journey" makes you travel across musical boundaries with Bass Music, Hip Hop, Drum & Bass as well as Trance, all of that is enhanced by traditionnal indian music rythms.
