L'album STARS nasce contemporaneamente alla reunion ufficiale dei Ti.Pi.Cal. avvenuta a Luglio 2010. Quando ci siamo ritrovati la scelta è stata naturale, torniamo con un singolo dance alla nostra maniera e regaliamo ai numerosissimi fan un album magico, emozionante che dia la possibilità di scoprire in un altra chiave l'essenza delle nostre canzoni del passato, le nuove e due tributi a due dischi che ci toccano nel profondo e che con estrema riverenza abbiamo rielaborato.
I Ti.Pi.Cal. a nudo, sinceri come in ogni produzione, ma che nell'album mettono tutto il loro sapere, il gusto per un sound delicato, intimo che va dritto al cuore... insomma "i Ti.Pi.Cal. come non li avete mai sentiti".

This is the 5th installment of my Rainy Day Edits & Remixes project. Gemini aka Spencer Kinsey is one of my all time favorite producers and was way, way ahead of his time. He released so many dope tracks on Peacefrog, Planet E, Relief, Cajual, Distance and Classic. I miss this cat as his records were always able to ride the line between deep, experimental and still got the floor packed. This record in particular "The Wave" has one of his best basslines, which is just a classic Juno square bass, which is so infectious. I did this one as a full on remix with my own synths and acid lines as well as all my own drums, just leaving the bassline, and pads as the same. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did paying tribute to one of the best whoever did it.
