"He's King" is a tune I wrote 10 years ago and I wanted to do a new twist on the old repetitive Gospel harmony tunes. This song was fun to record and is one of my favorite tunes to listen to and I thank God for it.

Irving Mayfield plays the muted trumpet lead and "Mean, Mean, Mean" Willie Green absolutely kills it on the drums, Chief Smiley Ricks lays a "Smoking Percussion" solo, Reynard Poche adds all kinds of color on the guitar and Dr. David Tarentolo smooths it out with the Hammond B3 and yours truly is on the bass. What a fun session.
