Tangerine Dream - "Stealing the Silver Cross" from the movie "The Keep" from 1983. This soundtrack has always been one of my favorite TG soundtracks and this song in particular my very favorite. It's been with me for a very long time and finally I felt it was the the right time to take a stab at it.

I got the help of my old time buddy and studio guitarist "ope" to do the parts that originally are done with a synth lead.
We go way back and we toured most of Norway 20 years ago with the last and final act I had going, in terms of live playing.
He's released lots of music on his own and he's very much a rock guitarist. Check him out here:

I play the Sequential Six-Trak bass live with my left hand, the right hand does the pads from the Roland Alpha Juno 2 although it's been midi'ed up to the JX-8P which is the synth you're hearing. The drums and some extra synths are overdubbed, but I consider this a live effort as these parts would have been sequenced out on a gig too.
The main drums are samples taken directly from my own "Italo Disco / Synth-pop" sample pack and are samples of my E-MU Drumulator drum machine from 1983.
I wanted to recreate the original pretty faithfully in terms of structure, but I've taken some liberties, especially with the arpeggiated part.
