A little "songwriting??"  I just started playing something random on my guitar and Blake rolled with it.  Maybe we will be an amazing musical team later in life.  :)

Me on Bass and Blake on drums and vocals doing a little improvisation.  We just got back from a walk in the forest preserve and he had coyotes on his mind so this is what came out.  My middle name is John by coincidence so maybe I have a bit of DNA in my gene pool from The Who's bass player, John Entwistle.  And NO, I DID NOT just compare myself to one of the greatest bass players to walk this planet. I don't even play the bass, I was borrowing my brother's to mess around with it.  :)

This is a rough cut "idea" for this song that I recorded using my acoustic, microphone, pa speaker, and my Samsung Galaxy 4 phone voice recorder.  :)   I made up some crazy hard guitar for the chorus so I will record the full cover on my recording equipment as soon as I master it.  Awesome song!  I do not own any rights to this song.

Rihanna - Diamonds - Acoustic/Vocal Cover

I was going to record this a week ago and post it on Father's Day for everyone that has lost their Father or isn't in contact with them for whatever reason.  It is an AWESOME song that is filled with emotion because it is about the singer's (Leigh Kakaty) Father that passed away in 2011.  I have written a lot of original songs that I will record soon and I am not going to do many more covers, but I HAD to try my best to do this one!!  This is my first attempt at using recording software on my laptop and I have no idea what I am doing yet, but life isn't perfect.  I recorded this in my closet this morning and it is far from perfect, but hopefully it will help at least one person.  ;)   Maybe after hearing this someone out there will try to spend more time with their Father.  Thanks for a great song, Pop Evil!!!  YOU GUYS ROCK!!!  And no, they are not evil.

GEOFF TATE, former Queensryche Frontman, is my ALL TIME FAVORITE SINGER and this is a song from his first solo album that was released in 2002.  Geoff Tate, and the members of Queensryche and his solo projects, have all helped me get through some hard times and have been an inspiration to me since my early high school days.  All I had time to do is to record this vocal cover in my vehicle using my Samsung Galaxy 4 voice recorder.  It is the best I could do with the little time and energy I have at this point in my life.  By the way....... GEOFF TATE IS THE MAN!!!!!!!!  :)

I woke up early this morning and for some reason I felt the need to take 15 minutes of my extra time to record this before work.  I have honestly not even heard this song in at least 6 months and still haven't listened to the original since I recorded this.  I may not even be in the same key as the amazingly talented Gary LeVox, but at this point of my life it describes me perfectly.  Rascal Flatts, I am sure you won't see this, but thank you for an awesome song!!!!

I recorded this on my phone 7-01-13 while I was in my vehicle parked in a parking lot.. I did this to send to a friend so she could see if I was totally tone deaf or not since I just started singing a month ago.  :)

A guitar Cover of me doing a Satriani song that I learned how to play when I was in high school.  It is still my favorite Satriani song!   I recorded this on 01-02-2012 with a Sony Bloggie so it is not a perfect studio sound but I like the raw and uncut sound better anyway.

A guitar cover of me playing my version of The Star-Spangled Banner.  I was obviously inspired by Jimi Hendrix and Ted Nugent, but I added a few of my own ideas too.   I recorded this on July 4, 2011
