SESSIONS 002

BOSS is a track created by DONKEY for your listening pleasure.

BOSS

After discovering their mutual love for house music, producers Josh Sparber and Mikey Fuentes merged their creative aspirations, resulting in the DJ and production duo DONKEY. Drawing on references from house, funk, disco and soul, DONKEY aims to share and build upon New York’s world-class sound.

For the past 10 years, Sparber has honed his DJing techniques, playing to crowds internationally and at home in the East Village at his former weekly Good Times party at Eastern Bloc. He explores sounds from tech house to hip hop to booty. His DJ heroes include Ellen Allien, Armand Van Helden and David Mancuso.

Fuentes has always had eclectic tastes in music. As a native New Yorker, his early club adventures led him to Tunnel, Limelight and Twilo, where he was schooled in New York’s underground sounds. 
HIS past experiences include a residency at Room Service New York, in addition to spinning at The Carry Nation, EPSP, and Excessive Sound. 

DONKEY continues to produce and DJ, currently their discography includes remixes out on Tribal Records, Get Up Recordings, and Gomination. While they work on their original productions they also compile a mixtape series called SESSIONS, available on Soundcloud and Mixcloud, as well as, in-store music for OAK. They can be heard spinning in NYC and have previously played gigs in Los Angeles, London and Berlin.
