Did this track a few years back after creating some drum loops for www.looperman.com (the Junglish Fishsticks series, if interested). As I was listening to 'em after they were uploaded (quality & bugs check) 2 in particular started to remind me of some Chemical Brothers stuff off of their album Dig Your Own Hole. So 1-2-skip a few I laid down the drum stuff and was originally planning on expanding on it to make a full song, but suddenly remembered this 'Drumpella challenge' a fellow looperman member (MrE) had started a lil while earlier and I opted to just leave it as-was and toss it out for others to play with. Same thing applies here- If you want to remix it then you are more than welcome to. I'd also love to hear what you've done if you do, so shoot it to my Dropbox, cool? Back 2 The Block (Chem Bros Tribute, drumpella & loop showcase 1)

Another song I did a few years ago after I loaded some bass & vocal loops to www.looperman.com (for bass it was the Full Frontal & Impulse Power series, if interested). This song came about differently from the Back 2 The Block one I did previously (that one was directly inspired by the loops, while this one was a result of A.- responding to some negative comments/reviews I had gotten on some of them {ie, "these are crap"} and B.- as a way to promote the loops to folks who might have similar mixing or musical tastes as I do). So this one's sorta out of character for me (I usually never make music that's been influenced by negative emotions-- I always try to maintain positive vibes with 'em in hopes that the good will transcend the music and into a person's heart).  Though in a weird way, I feel that the negativity that drove me to do this is/was transformed into the song's having personality/attitude. I dunno, what do you think (please start all comments with "This sux" and tell me why in 15 words or less, haha).
Anyways, being serious again. This song is available for download, remix, or whatever else you might want to do with it.  And as always, if you do decide to remix it I would love to hear what you've done (so drop it in my Dropbox, cool?). Hope you enjoy this. Lates!

Dont Wanna Sacrifice (Looperman.com showcase feat Steklo)

Here's a remix I did last year while I was on a Folktronic kick. It stemmed from the previous folk song remix that I did I was wanting to try my hand again and venture out into another part of the world. Did some hunting and found this Japanese folk song from the Edo period (that I recognized). Decided to mess with it and ended up taking it in a sorta Housey Hip-hop direction. The name comes from a 60s film trilogy that I caught a few years back. Done to kinda contrast the original song's theme/meaning. Hope yall can dig this crazy piece I've churned out for ya (and feel free to DL/mix/share/etc). Lates!

Sakura (DVs Armor of Daimajin rmx)

Another old mix of mine (why the mastering is kinda wonky here).
So a few years ago The Crystal Method was offering up some of their songs for other artists to play with by providing the stems on their web site (provided that you bought the album Divided By Night, dunno if they've changed the requirement since then).
Originally I was going to make a completely different song, but earlier on this morning when I was messing with adding stuff to the project I opened up the TCM- BR folder and started fooling with the vocals. I felt that they fit with the groove of what I was doing. So I ended up laying the entire vocal sample out and then I went and added other elements of their song. I dunno, I might've gone a bit overboard with the FX on here, but I was wanting to ensure that the vibe of the original song that I was working of carried over into this remix (which is where the name comes from, BTW, the orig title was Nap Time, and I intended for it to be a sister song to Snooze Button).
Genre-wise, I've thrown this into Electronic, even though I feel that it's more like some low tempo Tech-House. And at the moment I'm contemplating whether I should post Nap Time as well. Anyways, I hope yall dig this strange puppy I done did. Later on!

Another showcase for Looperman. The title reads that it's a loop showcase even though there's an acapella (personal belief here, if a pella is under 0:30 seconds its really a loop). (extended description)
So I've had the itch to mix again, but wasn't able to until recently because of school stuff. I tried starting another project the other day, but wanna sit on it for a lil so I can figure what to do with it next. And then I started this puppy earlier. 

I use Edge7's drums again, because he's simply top-shelf IMO. Then I added Minette's lovely 'pella, because I've been wanting to feature stuff with singing more (for practice & fuller site showcases). And once I had her stuff down everything else sorta fell into place. Opted to not go too crazy with the synthesizer aspect of this tune (wanted to keep it fairly minimal). That includes FX.  I think its a pretty fun track. I dunno, what do you think?

Since this uses an acapella from Looperman, the same "no remixing" rules apply. Though you're more than welcome to download it so you can jam out with it on your PC, iPod, CD in your car, etc. I hope yall dig this. 'Til next round take care all!

Tempted with Electricity (feat minette)

Howdy all. Alotta folks I know have joined this site (or are always mentioning it). Decided that I'd follow their lead and start a page here too. From what I've seen so far it seems pretty cool (e.g., the Dashboard & Dropbox features). Athough, I kinda don't dig the way the track comments are done... Eh, dunno, feels kinda odd to me, guess I'm old skool here, haha.

Won't waste too much time (yours & mine) filling out another one of these. Instead, I'll just redirect you to either my Looperman profile or my ReverbNation page, because they've got basically everything that needs to be said for these sort of things (general artist info). 

Beyond what's already been said elsewhere, I guess I'm what you'd call a 'music hobbiest' that's currently going to school so I can get a Film/Radio BA (minoring in English & Theater). I wanna be able to do it all in the studio (audio, editing, set design, lighting, production, scripting, acting {preferably in V.O.}, directing, stunts, okay, maybe not stunts, but stunt coordinator or their water/towel guy at least, perhaps, only thing I don't fancy is camera work).
