TB Premiere: High Soundsystem & Tapesh - Bodyworkin [Whippin]

TBX Records welcomes Australian talent Paluma to the label, releasing an uncompromising two-track ep titled 'Hands On' EP. Introducing the first track, Paluma features a bouncy beat that leads you and all the dancefloor up with an extra busy bassline, deep rhythmic stabs and an old-school spoken vocal which are combined in a perfect harmony delivering an impressive vibe. Next up we're feeling wavy with a collaboration between Paluma and Tyson O'Brien called 'Speak To Tha Yung', which delivers a powerful minimal/deep tech groove. Classic house vocals are laced up with a colourful characteristic bassline and perfect swinging drum rhythm, leading you to keep smiling while grooving on the dancefloor.

Little Fritter returns to Hot Creations, delivering an energetic pair of house cuts across ‘My People’.  

Australian DJ/producer Little Fritter is on a roll of late, with the boisterous talent and Need2Freak boss serving up  high-octane originals and remixes via Club Bad, elrow, Sola, &Friends and Thick As Thieves across a highly  productive 2022. A previous signee to the label in August of 2020, April sees the Gold Coast artist return to Jamie  Jones and Lee Foss’ iconic Hot Creations imprint with his two-track EP, ‘My People’. 

“I wrote ‘My People’ in the weeks leading up to playing before Jamie in Sydney last year. Once I got the  call up about the show, I instantly felt inspired to write something specifically to play in my set that would  represent a true Jamie style of sound and get the crowd locked in and on the level. After the show, I sent  the track to Jamie, and he signed it. I’m really excited to share this one because of the way it all came  together, it just feels wholesome, and I think this release reflects on the O.G sound of Hot Creations, which  massively influenced me in my early days of making tunes :)” - Little Fritter.  

Guided by a resonant vocal at the heart of the production, ‘My People’ is a vibrant and warm ride through funky  bass licks, swirling synths and bright stabs, while ‘FLY HI’ harnesses disco-influenced loops and further vocal  interludes above rolling percussion and sweeping melodies across almost seven-minutes of joy.

The second instalment welcomes contributions from both sides of the Atlantic, as styles from London and Los Angeles join. Jaden Thompson's remix of 'Wolf' is a typically slick and sharp effort, harnessing the vocals and bringing a no-nonsense groove to proceedings to deliver a remix set to lock crowds in a groove. 'Jaden has been a friend of mine for some years now, and sharing the stage with him always is a pleasure. He made a very interesting remix of 'Wolf', and hearing the vocals on a stomping beat like this works like a charm.'
 
Wrapping things up, Liquid Earth journeys down a funk-fuelled pathway as he gives 'Master Plug' a fresh lease of life, combining crisp percussion arrangements with resonant bass licks and spiralling acid-tinged leads effortlessly. 'I've been following Liquid Earth for some years now and rinsing everything that he has released. He set a really different tone with his remix of 'Master Plug' and made something very special of it.'
