pine's deltarune take is one of the best I've seen!! and I love the secret boss being a forgotten camera, kinda fitting into those video tapes asriel made with chara in the undertale true lab

i'd like to think that camellia is a big amalgamation of vhs horror mixed with a dash of the classic dremmurr family trauma, so I really wanted to capture that ever since the idea came into my head (especially since I love those little analog horror youtube series)

also, dunno if I'm the only one, but camellia did remind of flowey in a lot of ways, with her hair design mimicking omega flowey (maybe a stretch, but still, its more apparent in the fan designs of her), and also the whole theme of "memory" with her that was a big part of flowey's character; so that explains the flowey stuff I put in here

ALSO ALSO, camellia's face gave me uboa from yume nikki vibes so I added a reference or two here and there.....

i guess this is also a commemoration for 2000 youtube subscribers???!! It totally snuck up on me LMAO; so THANK YOU THANK YOU

Since last week the Note Length MIDI Effect has become an essential tool for me — especially when combined with the Velocity, Random, Chord, and Arpeggiator MIDI effects. This combo offers endless creative possibilities for generating unexpected rhythms and harmonies.

However, this week I ran into a strange issue, and now I’m wondering: ‘is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?’

In my last week’s session, four out of ten instruments no longer respond properly to the clip stop button. When I hit ‘stop clip’, the sound keeps playing — as if the MIDI signal or note is stuck. The only workaround that solved it was using ‘volume automation’ to fade out the sound. You don’t hear it in the final mix, but during the arranging phase, it’s quite frustrating.

I’ve since figured out that this likely has to do with ‘MIDI note hang’ situations, where a note keeps playing because no proper ‘note-off’ message is being sent. Since I’m using the Note Length effect in combination with Velocity, Random, Chord and Arpeggiator, it might be possible that:

- Note-off messages aren’t being generated properly by the MIDI effect chain. I have been told that especially Random and Arpeggiator can behave unpredictably when triggering notes.
- There may be ‘overlapping MIDI notes’ or unclear ‘note length settings’ that cause the note to sustain longer than I intended.
