As some aspects of normality return to the UK, Donwella wanted to use drums and rhythm to simulate a feeling we may not feel for a while still; dancing & reaching flow in a crowd. But by the end of the mix she brings us back down to earth and reality, a musical reminder to resist slipping back into the old ‘normal’ and becoming desensitised to that feeling that the pandemic offered us a chance to reshape better fairer societies and greener pastures.
